Stampin' Up Hey Chick, Perfect Mix, Suite Sayings, Serene Scenery, Up & Away

It was a BIG weekend for my Husband and his Bowling Team.  They won the Budweiser 6 Man Tournament in Alpena over the weekend.  Three of the Boys each bowled a 300 Game.  Congrats to all!  If you want to see the pictures, you can go to my Husbands facebook page at the link below:

After eating all the bird seed from my hanging bird feeder, this goofy Whitetail Deer was trying to figure out how he could get the bird seed out of my BIG bird feeder on the pole.  He finally figured out that is wasn't going to happen and wondered away.  We got about an inch of new snow last night.

My Brother-In-Law, Vern,  made me these two gorgeous paper racks on the left.  So, that's what I worked on this weekend.  I went through all my Stampin' Up paper and got it all re-organized.  What a chore that was!!!  After a BIG bruise on my butt, two broken fingernails and hurting like the dickens, I'm almost done.  I just need to finish up my original rack on the right and then I can start labeling.  Woo Hoo!  Love, love and love.  Thank you Vern!!!  Love you too Bud!!!

And, the sun finally came out too!  You can see Boris sunning himself in one of his three beds in between my paper racks and my stamp book case.  He's happy to finally see the sun too!  Natasha sleeps on my chair in my Studio or on my chair at the computer.

O.K.  Onto my share for today!  I did find time to do a little water coloring last week.  I adore the chickens from Stampin' Up's Hey Chick Sale-A-Bration Free Stamp Set.  During Sale-A-Bration, you get a free item of your choice from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure for every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax).

Let's take a look:

Isn't he just stinkin' cute!!!  I LOVE that chick!

My Card Base is Marina Mist cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 5-1/2".

My Card Front Panel is the 6" x 6" Dandelion piece from Stampin' Up's Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Pack cut at 4" x 5-1/4".  Using my Exacto Knife, I cut a slit in the paper for my Chick to Peek through.

Using SU's Perfect Mix Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink.

Using SU's Up & Away Thinlits Dies, I die cut my Sentiment out with the Cloud Die and then die cut another Cloud from Marina Mist Cardstock.

I went around the Whisper White Cloud with my 00 Gray Copic Marker for some highlighting; but, it didn't show up very well in the picture.  I adhered the two clouds together offsetting them slightly and onto my Card Front Panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's Hey Chick Stamp Set, I stamped the Chick onto Shimmery White Cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink.

Using my SU Stampin Write Markers in Cajun Craze and Marina Mist, I colored in the Fine Feathers on the Chicks Head and Tail and lightly went over them with my Aqua Painter with just the Water from the Aqua Painter.

I then water colored the Chicks Head and Body using Cajun Craze Ink and my Aqua Painter.

I used my Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker to color in the Chicks Beak.

I fussy cut out the Chick, went around the edges with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and slid him into the slit in the Card Front Panel.  I used Mono Multi Purpose Glue to adhere his feet to the back of the Card Front Panel.  I then adhered the Card Front Panel to my Card Base.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals behind the Chicks Head and Body to adhere the top portion of the Chick to the Front of the Card Front Panel.

For the Inside of my Card:
I stamped my Sentiment from Suite Sayings Stamp Set onto the remaining Dandelion DSP with Basic Black Archival Ink.  I then adhered it to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's Hey Chick Stamp Set, I stamped the Cracked Egg with the Feet onto Shimmery White Cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink.

I went around the Egg with my 00 Gray Copic Marker for some highlights, colored his Feet and Legs with my Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker and went around the outside edge with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  I fussy cut the Egg out and adhered it to the bottom of the DSP with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

This Chick just cracks me up every time I look at him!!!  Such an adorable stamp set!  I hope you get to add Hey Chick to your stamp collection.

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!
