Stampin' Up Birthday Bright Project Kit IV - That's the Tag, Delicate Details, Rose Wonder, Timeless Tags, Balloon Pop Up, Stitched Shapes, Best Badge, Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit

Our high temperature for today is going to be in the low 30's with a chance of snow.  We actually had a thunder storm last night and everything is ice now.  Our driveway and yard look like skating rinks.  Even the poor Whitetail Deer were slip sliding and skidding across the driveway.  I know we have a ways to go for the Winter season; but, I'm ready for it to be over!

My share for today is card and a tag that I designed using two of the Leftover Whisper White Cake Die Cuts from Stampin' Up's Birthday Bright Project Kit.  The Stampin' Up products that I used are That's the Tag, Delicate Details & Rose Wonder Stamp Sets, Timeless Tags & Balloon Pop Up Thinlits Dies and Best Badge Punch

Let's take a look:

I just love how the Leftover Cake Die Cuts from the Birthday Bright Project Kit are turning out.  And, Rose Red is another one of my FAVE colors The flowers add such a pretty embellishment on the cake too!.

My Card Base is Rose Red Cardstock cut at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4".

Using SU's new Timeless Tags Thinlits Dies, I Die Cut the Butterflies Die through the front and the back of the Card (something different) keeping in mind where the Cake Top would be placed.  I wanted it to look like the Butterflies were coming out of the side of the top of the Cake.

I also die cut the Leaves twice at the Base of my Card keeping in mind where the Cake Pedestal would go in-between the 2 sets of Leaves.

I used my Mint Macaron Stampin' Write Marker and drew around the Leaves and added a Vein for a little more added effect.

Using SU's new free Sale-A-Bration* Delicate Details Stamp Set, I stamped one of the Border Stamps across the front of my Card using SU's White Craft Ink.  I could have embossed it; but, I was going for a more delicate look.

I lightly sponged the edges of the Whisper White Cake Die Cut with Rose Red Ink and I sponged in the entire Cake Pedestal and Candles.

Using SU's That's the Tag Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto the center of the Cake and my Swirls around the Sentiment in Rose Red Ink.

Using my Small Candle Punch (Retired), I punched 3 of the Flames from So Saffron Cardstock (optional) and adhered them to the Candles with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I then brushed on some Wink of Stella to give the Flames a nice glittery shine.

I adhered some of the Sequins from SU's new Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit on the top of the Cake to look like Frosting and then adhered some more randomly onto the front of my Card.

I stamped my Flowers in Basic Black Archival Ink onto SU's Shimmery White Cardstock and colored them in with my Mint Macaron, Rose Red and So Saffron Stampin' Write Markers.  I adhered my Flowers to the Cake with small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the inside of my Card:  I adhered two pieces of Cardstock cut at 2-1/2" x 4", one Mint Macaron and one So Saffron, and adhered them to the left inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  This is to cover the Butterflies and Leaves Dies Cuts.  I then trimmed out a strip of Rose Red Cardstock to measure 1/2" x 4" and adhered it over the seam of the two Cardstocks.

Using SU's new Stitched Shapes Ovals Dies, I die cut two Ovals from So Saffron Cardstock.
Using SU's Rose Wonder Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto one of the Ovals and adhered it to the right inside of my Card.

I adhered another Flower and one of the Negative Die Cut Butterflies around the Oval with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

For the Back of my Card:  I adhered the second Oval to cover the Butterfly Die Cut, two more Flowers and three more Butterflies onto and around the Oval with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Love how this card turned out.  It's especially hard for me to make a card like this as my Mom passed away in 2012 from Ovarian Cancer.  So, this is a rare card for me to make.  I still miss her something awful!!!

O.K.  I have an extra share for you today.  It's a matching Tag to go with my Card...

My Tag Base is 5-1/2" x just shy of 2" and cut from SU's Shimmery White Cardstock.

I die cut the top of my tag using the Bow Edge Die from SU's new Balloon Pop Up Thinlits Dies.

Using SU's Best Badge Punch, I punched the bottom of my Tag for a Scalloped Edge.  I first centered the Punch on the bottom edge and punched it and then punched each side.

My Tag Front Panel is Rose Red Cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 1-3/4".  I Scalloped the Bottom Edge and adhered it to my Tag Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I die cut the Bow Die from So Saffron Cardstock and tied it on to the top of my Tag through both Bows' loops with SU's new 1/8" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon for a hanger.  I wanted the So Saffron Bow to hang freely and swing from side to side.  I took another length of the Ribbon and tied it around the Hanger and into a Bow.  And, I trimmed off a small portion of the Center Ribbon piece on the So Saffron Bow so it wouldn't interfere with the Candles on the Cake.

I adhered another flower to the So Saffron Bow with a small piece of Stampin' Dimensionals.

I pretty much did the Cake the same as the one on the card except I stamped a different Sentiment from That's the Tag Stamp Set in the middle of the Cake.

It was really fun to decorate the Leftover Cake Die Cuts.  I have two more White Cake Die Cuts left and will show them to you tomorrow!
