Stampin' Up Sparkle & Shine Honeycomb Happiness Easter Cards

Ahhhhh...the sun is shining full on today.  Still some cool weather though; but, tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60's again.  Yay!  Come on warm weather!!!

Today, I'm sharing a couple cute little chick cards that I made using Stampin' Up's Sparkle & Shine and Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Sets.  Let's take a look:

My card base is Stampin' Up's Pool Party Cardstock cut at 3" x 6" and scored and folded at 3".

My card front panel is SU's Whisper White Cardstock cut at 2-3/4" x  2-3/4".

I used the raindrops stamp from SU's Sparkle & Shine Stamp Set with SU's Pool Party Ink to stamp the background on my card front panel.

I trimmed out a piece of SU's Pool Party Designer Series Paper at 1/2" x 2-3/4" and adhered it to the left side of my card front panel.

Using SU's Pool Party 3/8" ribbon, I wrapped it around the card front panel and tied it into a knot.

I adhered my card front panel to my card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the little chick from SU's Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set on to SU's Daffodil Delight Cardstock using Memento Black Ink.  I fussy cut him out and adhered him to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I mixed some Daffodil Ink and Rubbing Alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer (about 3-5 drops ink to 2/3's full of rubbing alcohol) and spritzed one of SU's White Honeycomb Embellishments until it was covered with Daffodil Ink.  I used my SU Heat Tool to dry it.  Be careful as I did burn the edges slightly of the first one that I made and use some long tweezers to hold it away from your fingers so you don't get burned from the heat tool.

I adhered the embellishment to the chick's belly.  The Honeycomb Embellishments are adhesive backed so you just peel off the covering to adhere them.

Since I only had the one picture of the chick cards, I thought I'd show you how much water is in the river behind our pole barn.  The river is a small tributary of the Kawkawlin River.  In the Summer, it dries up to be anywhere from 5' to 12' wide.

These pic's do not do justice to show how much water is really there.

To the West and Northwest of us, there is State owned land which is a HUGE Floodwater Preserve that is home to many, many wildlife creatures.

There is so much waterfowl that it's unbelievable; Ducks, White Swans, Loons, Cranes; etc.  We are fortunate to be able to see some of them on our property at times.

There are also Muskrats and Beaver.  Sometimes, these critters start to build a hut or dam in the ditches and the County has to come in and remove them with a backhoe.

Lots and lots of Whitetail Deer too!  Our neighbors even spotted a Black Bear last Summer!  Hope I don't come across him!!!

Well, that's all I have for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  Please be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
