As promised from my blog post yesterday, here is the second card that I designed using the piece of embossed Night of Navy Cardstock that my good friend and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Dawn, sent to me in a card:
My card base is Stampin' Up's Whisper White Cardstock cut at 8-1/2" x 4-1/4" scored and folded at 5-1/2".
I cut piece of SU Calypso Coral Cardstock at 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" for a mat for the leftover piece of embossed Night of Navy cardstock, 2" x 4", that Dawn sent me in a card. I tied a piece of SU 1/4" Calypso Coral Ribbon (Retired) around the Night of Navy piece and tied it into a bow. I adhered the two pieces together and to my card base using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
Using SU's Flower Fair Framelits Dies, I die cut the 'spoke' flower from SU's Calypso Coral Designers Series Paper and a flower center from SU's Calypso Coral Cardstock. I bent some of the smaller spokes in the flower up to give it some dimension. I adhered the flower center to the flower and to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using SU's Botanical Builder Framelits Dies, I die-cut the long leaf stem with SU's Old Olive Cardstock and fussy cut it out as shown in the picture above. I adhered it to my card base with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
Using SU's Flower Fair Framelits Dies, I die-cut the largest flower from SU's Calypso Coral Designer Series Cardstock and the second largest flower from SU's Calypso Coral Cardstock.
I stamped Hello from SU's Talented Trio Stamp Set in the center of the second flower using SU's Night of Navy Ink.
I adhered the two flowers together and to my card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I adhered sequins from SU's Metallics Sequin Assortment to my flower centers.
Thanks again Dawn for the lovely card. I sure had fun designing these two cards with the embossed piece of Night of Navy Cardstock that you included in my card.
That's all I have for today! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, Please be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products, you can order from me on-line at www.stampinup.com and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.
This is my first blog and it is still under construction. I have yet to receive my Watermark so the picture's are copyright Lynn A. Gauthier, 2015-2016 Stampin' Up.
I'm LOVING both your flower creations. SO full of spring HAPPINESS!
