Today is an overcast day with a few scattered rain showers here and there. A little bit on the cooler side too.
The chipmunks have come out of their Winter holes and are happily chasing each other around. I haven't seen my first Robin yet tho'.
Anyways, I had a rough time taking my pictures this morning; but, I think I have them too my liking now.
As I posted on my blog a couple weeks or so ago, I lost a very, very dear friend of the family. A couple of my dear friends and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrators, Dawn and Kadie, sent me these gorgeous, gorgeous Sympathy cards and I just had to share them with you!
First up is Dawn's gorgeous card:
Isn't Dawn's card just so pretty. She used Stampin' Up's Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper with that gorgeous pink and little white flowers.
Dawn die-cut the flowers and leaves using Stampin' Up's Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. I love how she made her flowers. It looks like Dawn punched a small circle from SU's Night of Navy Cardstock and adhered the flowers to the circle with Crystal Effects. Hence, the navy blue flower centers. Now, how cool is that. What a neat 'effect' indeed!
I love the color combination Dawn used and what awesome layering! Old Olive is my FAVE green.
Dawn used the sentiment from SU's Rose Wonder Stamp Set.
Thank you Dawn for caring and keeping me in your thoughts and prayers! You are so appreciated and I'm glad to have you in my life!
Next up is Kadie's card:
I was taken back by the stunning trees in Kadie's card. The coloring and sparkle is just amazing!
Kadie stamped the tree's
using SU's Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set and then colored in the tree's
with Stampin' Write Markers. She randomly went over them with Wink
of Stella. They are so pretty and so much prettier in real life. You just can't capture the sparkle in a picture.
Kadie's used the sentiment from SU's Rose Wonder Stamp Set.
And who doesn't LOVE candy dots. The Old Olive candy dots and the baker's twine are the perfect addition to this card.
Just stunning coloring and fabulous layering!
Thank you Kadie! I so appreciate our friendship and all our Stampin' Up play time together. I'm so blessed to have you in my life too!
And, my dear, dear Connie. I miss you so much but I know that you and my Mom are up there in Heaven and just chatting up a storm! May you both rest in peace!
That's all I have for today! Please come back tomorrow and I'll share a mailing tip that we learned from Stampin' Guru Mary Fish!
Have a great day!
I
recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects,
duplicating them and entering them into challenges. My cards and
projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or
sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my
creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions
