Witty-cisms - Using Up Leftovers, 4"x4" and 4"x4" Cards into 4-1/4"x5-1/2" Cards - Cards I

It's a cold, cold day today in Midland, Michigan.  We woke up to a dusting of snow and some chilly winds.  Our high temp for today is 38F with a low of 25 for tonight.  The winds are WNW at 10 to 15mph.  Brrrrr!!!

On a personal note:  I think that the drastic weather change from the 60's down into the 30-40's has spiked my migraines as I have been suffering from them for the last two days.  Not fun at all.  So, I'm sorry that I haven't posted to my blog Monday and Tuesday.  I still have the migraine; but, at least I can function today and feel somewhat human.

My share for today is two Cards that I designed from a FUN Stampin' Up! Stamp Set called Witty-cisms.  Let's take a look:

I just LOVE the Witty-cisms Stamp Set.  It is just too cute!

I'm starting to use up some Designer Series Paper, Cardstock, Embellishments and other items as the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog will be coming out soon.  As a Demonstrator, I will be able to pre-order this coming May so I'm starting to get organized and ready for the new Catalog.

My Card Base is Old Olive Cardstock trimmed out to measure 4" by 8" and scored and folded at 4" for a top folding Card.

I used a leftover piece of Old Olive DSP and a leftover piece of Petal Pink Cardstock for my Card Front Panels.

Using Stampin' Up!'s Witty-Cisms Stamp Set, I stamped my Chinchilla in Black Memento Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock.

Using my Stampin' Blends, I colored my Chinchilla in Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Petal Pink.

I adhered my Chinchilla to my Petal Pink Cardstock with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I cut a long length of Old Olive Baker's Twine, wrapped it around my Panels and tied it into a Bow.

I adhered the Panels to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Pictured above is my Second Card that I made differently.  I used Real Red DSP, and Real Red and Old Olive Cardstock leftover pieces for my Card.

I decided to stamp the Chinchilla Stamp in Soft Suede Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock and not color it.

So, instead of coloring the Chinchilla, I fussy cut him out and the words.

This time, I used the Old Olive Baker's Twine on the Sentiment and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered my Chinchilla to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Cards that are 4" x 4" are not normally accepted at our Post Office unless you pay an extra few cents to mail it as they are smaller and can get stuck in their machines.  So, if you are like me and still like to make the 4" x 4" Cards, you can make your own Envelope on the Envelope Punch Board ... OR ... trim out a panel of Cardstock that measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and adhere the 4" x 4" Card directly onto the panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  Then, you can mail it in a Regular Sized Envelope at no extra cost.

I used my Coastal Cabana Cardstock to adhere my 4" x 4" Card onto.

So, now I can mail my 4" x 4" Cards either way ... OR ... I can hand deliver it to my recipient.

Have a Blessed Day!!!

If you have any questions about ordering or want instructions to make any of my Card and/or Projects, please e-mail my at  dodge3670 at aol dot com.  I will no longer be putting the exact instructions on my blog posts.

If you leave a comment in the comment section, I cannot respond back to you as I would need your e-mail address.  I can leave a reply to your comment on the actual blog post; but, I cannot contact you without an e-mail address.

Thank you so much and I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

I'm so glad that all of you, my blog followers, understand about giving credit where credit is due.  It has been a real honor and a pleasure to help out everyone that has e-mailed me for the instructions for my designs.

It is also fun to get to know everyone that is e-mailing to me.  If I can help in any way, please let me know by e-mail  dodge3670  at  aol  dot  com.  I will try to respond within the next 1-3 days of your e-mail.

Wishing you all a Sunny Day!!!

Blessings

Lynn

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
