My share for today is one of Stampin' Up's Petite Cafe Bags that I altered to make a card holder to put all of my Pretty Kitty 3" x 3" cards and envelopes in. I posted my Pretty Kitty cards on my blog yesterday and last week.
I used Stampin' Up's Foxy Friends Stamp Set, SU's Fox Builder Punch and SU's Perfect Pines Framelits Dies to make the tag on the front of my altered Petite Cafe Bag Card Holder.
Let's take a look:
Pictured above are the 3" x 3" cards that I designed using Stampin' Up's Pretty Kitty Stamp Set, Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper and Tags & Labels Framelits Dies. These were posted to my blog yesterday and last week.
I kept the envelopes very simple by just stamping the kitty face from Stampin' Up's Foxy Friends Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink.
Here's a look at Stampin' Up's Petite Cafe Bag that I altered to make it about 1-1/2" to 2" shorter to fit my 3" x 3" cards. You can leave it tall and it would work just the same. I just had to be different!
I trimmed off an inch above where the bottom natural fold line is on the Petite Cafe Bag.
I then folded the two long edges (top and bottom in the picture) and adhered them with Stampin' Up's Tear & Tape. Next, I folded the two sides (left and right in the picture) in and again adhered them with Tear & Tape.
My cards and envelopes fit very nicely in the bottom of the bag and there is actually room for more.
Using Stampin' Up's Foxy Friends Stamp Set, I stamped the following on Whisper White Cardstock except the tree stump:
I stamped the tree and ferns in Old Olive Ink. One of the ferns, I stamped off once without reinking and stamped it again. I stamped the vine across the tree 3 different times. I used Stampin' Up's Perfect Pines Framelits and die cut out the tree. I fussy cut the ferns.
I stamped the mushrooms in Cajun Craze Ink and fussy cut them out.
I stamped the kitty in Sahara Sand Ink (to match my cards) and punched it out using SU's Fox Builder Punch.
I stamped the kitty face in Basic Black Archival Ink on to the kitty's head.
I punched the kitty's nose and ears from Blushing Bride Cardstock and punched it out with the Fox Builder Punch.
I stamped the tree stump on Soft Suede Cardstock and fussy cut it out.
I tied a double bow using SU's Blushing Bride Solid Baker's Twine and adhered it using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I adhered the kitty to the corner of the tree using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I rolled up some SU Glue Dots into balls and used them to attach the small mushrooms to the tree.
I adhered the bottom of the kitty to the tree stump using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
The ferns were adhered to the back of the left side of the tree stump and the 3 mushrooms to the front of the tree stump also using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I tied a triple bow using SU's Linen Thread and adhered it to one of SU's Gold Binder Clips using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
And, of course, you can't forget to add one of SU's new Enamel Shapes. I'm addicted to them! I adhered a Cajun Craze Heart Enamel Shape to the center of my bow.
This was a really fun project to make. I may or may not eventually add a sentiment to my tag!
That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Have a great day!
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, PLEASE be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
