My Mother-In-Law passed away unexpectedly. She had a mild heart attack and then developed an infection that Dr.'s couldn't control. Thanks again to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. They are very much appreciated.
I ended up taking my Hubby to the emergency room at our local hospital. He has acute bronchitis and was running a fever. They ended up running fluids and antibiotics through his IV and giving him tylenol until his temperature came down. He is doing better now. I guess, when it rains, it pours.
Speaking of pours, we received way too much rain for us to handle.
This is my front yard in our circle driveway. Yikes! The majority of the water is gone now. The ground is too frozen for the water to soak in.
My share for today is a couple Double Z Fold Strawberry Cards. My Niece Amy shared a picture of a Strawberry Card that she made and I tried to replicate it. Let's take a look:
Amy gave me the following dimensions for her Card:
Card Stock:
Real Red - 11" x 4-1/4"; Scored at 5-1/2" and 2-3/4"
Night of Navy - 9" x 3-1/4"; Scored at 3" and 6"
Whisper White - 2 pieces - 2-3/4" x 3"
Designer Series Paper:
Tutti-Fruitti - 4" x 1-7/8"
I trimmed out my Papers and Scored them as Amy said.
I adhered my Strawberry pattern from SU's Tutti-Fruitti Designer Series Paper on the left side of the Real Red Cardstock with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered the Night of Navy Cardstock as shown in the picture above.
(I couldn't see Amy's Card very well from the picture that she sent me so some of the instructions from here on out may differ from Amy's Card).
Using SU's Fruit Basket Stamp Set, I stamped the Strawberry Outline Image Stamp and then the Solid Image Strawberry Stamp over the top of the Outline Stamp on the right side of the Real Red Cardstock with Real Red Ink.
For the Front Whisper White piece:
Using SU's Fruit Basket Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Night of Navy Ink.
Using SU's Waterfront Stamp Set, I inked up the Dotted Stamp with Night of Nave Ink, stamped it off onto scrap paper and then stamped it over the Sentiment. (I think Amy flicked some Night of Navy Ink onto her Whisper White piece with her Stampin' Write Marker).
Using SU's Fruit Basket Stamp Set, I stamped 4 Solid Image Strawberries in Real Red Ink onto Whisper White Paper. I then stamped the Stem Stamp onto each Strawberry in Lemon Lime Twist Ink and fussy cut out the Strawberries. (I think Amy used SU's Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack and punched her Strawberries out).
I adhered 2 of the Strawberries to the Front Whisper White piece with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and one Strawberry with a Stampin' Dimensional.
I cut a length of SU's 1/2" Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon and tied it around the bottom of the Whisper White piece and into a Bow.
I adhered the piece to the Front of the Night of Navy Cardstock panel.
Using SU's Fruit Basket Stamp Set, I masked off the TO YOU! and stamped just the Happy Birthday on the Second Whisper White piece with Night of Navy Ink.
I then stamped the Friend Stamp underneath with Night of Navy Ink.
I adhered the last Strawberry in the bottom right corner with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered the Whisper White piece to the right side of the Night of Navy Cardstock.
I adhered 3 of SU's Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins in Lemon Lime Twist as shown in the picture above.
Thank you Amy for sharing with us! Gorgeous Card Sweet Pea!!!
And, of course, I had to make another!
I did everything the same for this card except I left off the Sequins and I did not stamp on the Real Red Cardstock.
Using SU's Barn Door Stamp Set, I stamped the Flowers twice from the Wreath Stamp in Lemon Lime Twist Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.
Using SU's coordinating Sliding Door Dies, I die cut out the Flowers, colored the center of the Flowers with my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker and adhered them to the right side of the Real Red Cardstock with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I then adhered my Strawberries (2 with Mono Multi Purpose Glue; 1 with a Stampin' Dimensional) as shown in the picture above.
Everything else was pretty much the same as the first Card.
Thank you Amy for sharing with us!!!
Stay warm my Friends where ever you are and thanks for stopping by my blog!
Blessings!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, PLEASE be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
Let me start out by extending my heartfelt condolences to both you and Randy on the loss of your mother-in-law. I know no words can help heal the pain you both must be experiencing....but know that time will help to soften that pain soon.
ReplyDeleteYour double Z-fold card is simply DARLING......and when you are up to it.....Let's make one of these together.
Hugs to you coming straight from my arms in AZ.
