Flora and Flutter December 2017 Paper Pumpkin Alternate Card with Bird Banter, Layering Ovals, Stitched Shapes, Tutti Frutti Card Base, Triple Banner - I

The sun is shining full on; but, it's only 7 degrees out.  I looked at the thermometer around 2:00 this morning and it read a negative 13 degrees.  Yikes!  After tomorrow, we should be out of this Arctic Freeze and resume some normal temperatures in the 20's and 30's.  That will probably feel warm to us now after such freezing temperatures!!!

My share for today is an Alternate Card that I made using Stampin' Up's December 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Flora and Flutter and SU's new Occasions Catalog Bird Banter Stamp Set.  Let's take a look:

My Card Base is Island Indigo Cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4" for a side opening Card.

As some of you may know, the Square Lemon Lime Twist Leaf Stem Die Cuts were cut backwards and Stampin' Up placed the corrected version in our kits along with the version that was cut backwards.  So we got extras!  I used the backwards version on my Alternate Birthday Card.  I even used the reverse side of the White Cardstock Square that the OOPS! message was printed on.

So, I trimmed down the White Cardstock  Square and adhered it to the back of the backwards version of the Lemon Lime Twist Leaf Stem Die Cut Square with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered this panel to my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the Flora and Flutter Stamp Set, I stamped the Butterfly on the White Butterfly die cuts from the kit in Bermuda Bay Ink and another one in Daffodil Delight (for the inside of my Card).

Using SU's new Occasions Catalog Bird Banter Stamp Set, I stamped the Bird, Balloon, Party Hat, and two Leaf Stems onto Shimmery White Cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink.

I colored the Bird with my Stampin' Blends Markers in Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Pumpkin Pie and Smokey Slate as shown in the picture above.

I colored the Balloon in Light and Dark Daffodil Delight.

I colored the Leaf Stems in Light and Dark Old Olive Cardstock.

I colored the Party Hat with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Marker and my Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend Marker.

I adhered the Butterfly with a small piece of Stampin' Dimensionals down the center back of the Butterfly only and left the Wings free of adhesive.

I fussy cut out the Bird, Balloon and the Leaf Stems.

I adhered one Leaf Stem with Mono Multi Purpose Glue behind the Stem and a Stampin' Dimensional behind the Leaves.

I adhered the Bird with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered the Party Hat to the Bird with Mono Multi Purpose Glue on the back of the Brim of the Hat and a Mini Stampin' Dimensional behind the top of the hat.

I adhered the Balloon with Mono Multi Purpose Glue behind the String and Stampin' Dimensionals behind the Balloon.

I trimmed off a 3/4" x 4" piece from a Lemon Lime Twist Card Base in SU's new 
Sale-A-Bration Tutti-Fruitti Card Bases and Envelopes (Free with a qualifying order). Using SU's Triple Banner Punch, I punched both ends to create my first Banner.

Using one of the White Die Cut Banners in the kit and SU's Bird Banter Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink.  I again used my Triple Banner Punch to punch the ends to create a shorter Banner with flagged ends.

I cut a length of SU's Basic Black Baker's Twine and wrapped it around the Sentiment Banner twice and tied it into a Bow.

I adhered the Sentiment Banner to my First Banner on an angle with a Stampin' Dimensional on the left end only.

For the inside of my Card:
Using SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I die cut a Scalloped Oval from the Lemon Lime Twist with White Diamonds pattern in SU's Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper.

Using SU's Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, I die cut an Oval from Whisper White Cardstock.

Using Bird Banter Stamp Set, I stamped Happy Birthday on the Whisper White Oval.  I then adhered the Leaf Stem and the Butterfly to the Oval with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered the Whisper White Oval to the Lemon Lime Twist Eastern Palace Oval and to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I used my Wink of Stella Brush to add shiny, glittery highlights to the Balloon.

I'm in total LOVE with all the darling Birds in SU's new Bird Banter Stamp Set.  They are so, so and so cute!!!
