My share for today is a special Christmas Card that I designed for a special person. I guess I'm stuck in making slider projects and I incorporated a slider into the large Real Red Banner on my Card. And, yes, I know it will cost more money to mail this card. Let's take a look at my special Card:
My Card Base is from October's 2017 Pining for Plaid Paper Pumpkin Kit.
My First Banner is two pieces of Real Red Cardstock cut to measure 2-3/4" x 5-1/8". I trimmed my flagged ends by hand.
I adhered 1/8" adhesive tape on the two long edges and straight across the bottom above where the flagged ends start. This created a nice, little pocket in the banner for a special surprise for my Special Friend. I can't tell you what is inside as I don't want my Special Friend to know yet!
I wrapped a length of SU's 1/4" Quilted Ribbon around the surprise, tied it into a knot and trimmed the ends. This creates the "pull" so you are able to pull the surprise out of the pocket.
I tied a length of SU's Silver Tinsel Trim around the ends of the Ribbon.
My Second Banner is from SU's Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper cut to measure 2" x 4". I trimmed my flagged ends by hand.
I adhered the Second Banner to the First Banner with Mono Multi Purpose Glue down the center of the Banner only leaving the edges and flagged ends free of adhesive.
Using SU's Everyday Label Punch, I punched out a Label from Whisper White Cardstock and one from Old Olive Cardstock.
Using SU's Good Tidings Stamp Set, I stamped my Holly with Old Olive and Always Artichoke Inks and my Holly Berries with Real Red Ink. I stamped them again on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut it out.
I then stamped the To: and From: in Black Memento Ink.
I cut the Old Olive Label in half and adhered the two ends to the back of the stamped Whisper White Label with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
I adhered the Label to the Banner with Mono Multi Purpose Glue down the center of the Label only leaving the ends free of adhesive.
I adhered the fussy cut Holly as shown in the picture above with a small piece of Stampin' Dimensionals.
I adhered the Banner to my Card Base with SU's Tear & Tape Adhesive.
For the inside of my Card:
Using SU's Good Tidings Stamp Set, I inked up the reverse side of the Sentiment Stamp shown in the picture above with Old Olive Ink, stamped it off once onto another Card Base and then stamped it on the inside of my Card.
I stamped my Sentiment in Back Memento Ink over the top of the Old Olive Ink. I stamped 3 of the Holly Berries Stamp in Real Red Ink as shown in the picture above.
I LOVE how this turned out. So pretty!
If you look at the top right of the Banner Pocket, you can see just a little bit of the cellophane from the surprise peeking out!
What a fun Card Project for me to design and make! I hope my Special Friend enjoys it too!!!
Stamparatus
The Stamparatus is a new product from Stampin' Up! I was one of the unfortunate ones to miss the first reservation window. I love this new product and my FAVE feature of the Stamparatus is the double doors!
Change in Stamparatus Reservation Windows
The results are in! The first Stamparatus reservation
window reached its maximum number of reservations in just 15 minutes,
which provided us with some very important information: You LOVE this
new stamping tool! We couldn’t be more thrilled; in fact, your response
was so amazing that we’ve decided to make some important adjustments to
the reservation process.
As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open!
Please note the following changes:

So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open!
Please note the following changes:
- Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
- In order to accommodate demand, limits have changed as follows: one reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.
- Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations for the second window, we will not offer a third window. This is the last chance for you and your customers to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.
- If you reserved more than one stamping tool during the first reservation period, that number will not change; you will still receive the same number you reserved.
- If you reserved one or more stamping tool(s) during the first reservation period, you may still order during the second window.
- The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5.

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, PLEASE be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
