Stampin' Up Bold Butterfly Framelits & Butterflies Thinlits - Thank You!

I'm taking a break from the Halloween and Christmas cards and projects today.  It's beautiful outside today and I wanted to create a Butterfly in hopes that this nice weather will hang around for a while longer.

I also needed a Thank You card for someone special in my life.  Kadie, my good friend and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator sent me some wonderful surprises in the mail all the way from Arizona and I so want to Thank her with this special card.  I hope she likes it!!!

I started with an A2 card base, 8 1/2"x5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4", of Stampin' Up Rich Razzleberry Card Stock.  I cut the card front panel at 5 1/4"x4" and adhered it to the card base with MultiPurpose Glue.

I used my SU Ovals Collection Framelits (the 2 center ovals) to die cut 2 leaves from SU's new Corrugated Paper, sponged them with SU Old Olive Ink and added some veins to each leaf with the edge of my sponge.  I used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut another piece of Corrugated Paper for the stem, 5/8"x2 1/4", and sponged it with SU Old Olive Ink also.  The die cut Ovals and the Stem were adhered to the card front panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I took my SU Bold Butterfly Framelits and die cut one Solid Butterfly out of SU Blackberry Bliss Card Stock and one of the Smaller Intricate Butterflies out of SU Silver Foil Paper.  I used my SU Butterflies Thinlits and cut one of the Smaller Intricate Butterflies out of SU Blackberry Bliss Card Stock.

I cut thin strips from Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered each butterfly layer together.  I used SU's new Silver Cording to tie around the butterfly layers and form the antenna's.

I added SU Basic Jewel Pearls for the body!  Check out the height on this butterfly!  Amazing!

For my Sentiment, I stamped Thank You on Whisper White Card Stock and punched it out with SU's Small Oval Punch (Retired) and sponged the edges with SU Blackberry Bliss Ink.  I punched a Small Scalloped Oval from SU Old Olive Card Stock and adhered the Whisper White Oval to it with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Then I adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals also.

That's all I have for today!  Hope your day was as beautiful as mine!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

  1. Pretty card! It reminds me of all the butterflies I saw on my way home today in the fields. Love the DSP you used with it too.
