It's a mostly cloudy day with some peeks of the sun outside today in Midland, Michigan. We got a light dusting of snow yesterday. Our high temp for today is 31F with a low of 27F for tonight. The winds are NE at 5 to 10mph.
Sale-A-Bration ends February 28...(Place any party or personal order over $300 and receive the exclusive Punch Party Stamp Set for FREE)
My share for today is a Kindness Card that I designed using products from Stampin' Up!'s new 2021 Mini Occasions Catalog and some from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog. Let's take a look:
I'm really, really loving Stampin' Up!'s True Love Designer Series Paper. And, yes!!! It is a True Love relationship!!! 😊😊😊 There are so many different ways to color the DSP or you can use it as it is; black and white for a background or for punching a background for your Greeting and on and on.
Pictured above is last Friday's Blog Post Card. You can see that I did not color my images all the way to the Black Outline's. So, if you are not a person who likes to color or are timid about coloring or going outside of the lines, this is the perfect way for you to color.
For today's Card, I colored my Images all the way to the Black Outlines using my Stampin' Blends and blending the Light and Dark colors together. It's so easy as all you do is follow the Artist lines in the Petals and Leaves for your Dark colors and then finish coloring and blending with your Light colors.
My personal trend is to color an entire Petal with the Light color, go over the Artist Lines and some in between the Artist Lines with the Dark color and then go back and blend them with the Light color being careful not to over saturate the paper. Sometimes, if I over saturate, I will color a different Petal with the Light color while the first Petal dries a little. Hope that makes sense.
My Card Base is Basic Black Cardstock.
My Card Front Panel is Mango Melody Cardstock. I adhered my Card Front Panel to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I fussy cut 2 partial Flower Images and 4 partial Leaves that are on the edges of the Black/White Large Flower sheet of Designer Series Paper called True Love. I'm not going to waste any of this DSP!!! Again, I've done this for years.
I used Light and Dark Poppy Parade to color my Flowers.
I used Light and Dark Soft Sea Foam to color my Leaves.
I used Light and Dark Mango Melody to color my Flower Centers.
I trimmed out a Strip of Basic Black Cardstock to measure 3/4" by 5-1/2" and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals down the Center of my Card.
I also popped up my 2 partial Flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals; one on each side of the Basic Black Strip.
To give it more of a 3D look, I adhered the 4 partial Leaves with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
Using the new Hey Girlfriend Stamp Set, I stamped my Greeting in Memento Black Ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock.
Using the new Punch Party Stamp Set, I stamped the Postage Stamp Outline in Poppy Parade Ink around the Greeting and punched it out using the new Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.
(Place any party or personal order over $300 and receive the exclusive Punch Party Stamp Set for FREE)
I trimmed 3 corners off of a Square Vellum Doily and adhered them around the Flowers with Mono Multi Purpose Glue on the tucked in ends only. You don't want your Glue showing through your Vellum.
I adhered Gilded Gems and Matte Black Dots to my Card as shown in the picture above.
Tell someone you LOVE them and/or give someone an AIR HUG today!!!
Have a Blessed Day!!!
