Hippo Happiness, Hippo & Friends, Fabulous Florals, Stitched Rectangles, Tasteful Textile - Birthday Card

It's another great day in Midland, Michigan.  Our high temp for today is 86F with a low of 68F for tonight.  The winds are SW at 10 to 20mph.

My share for today is a Birthday Card that I made for my Great Niece's, Bree, Birthday using the new Stampin' Up! Hippo Happiness Stamp Set, the coordinating Hippo & Friends Dies and some more Stampin' Up! products.  Let's take a look:

My Card Base is Pool Party Cardstock.

Using Stitched Rectangles Dies, I die cut two Frames from Stampin' Up's new 6" x 6" Designere Series Paper in Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party.

I held my two Frames together and trimmed them apart on each 4-1/4" side and adhered them to my Card Base as shown in the picture above.

Using the new Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, I ran a panel of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock through my BIG Shot Machine.  I fussy cut my Hills and adhered them to the bottom, inside of my Frame matching up the sides where the two Frames were spliced together.

Hippo Happiness is a Two Step Photopolymer Stamp Set that is just adorable.

Using the new Hippo Happiness Stamp Set, I stamped the Partial Image Stamps of the Ewe and the Pony/Unicorn onto Whisper White Cardstock in Flirty Flamingo Ink and the Hippo in Gorgeous Grape Ink.  This gives you a stamped image of the animals without the Muzzle, Partial Ears, Tail and Mane of the Pony/Unicorn, without the Muzzle, Partial Ears and Tail of the Hippo and without the Face, Partial Ears and Arms and Legs of the Ewe.

TIP:  I trimmed the edges away from some of the Photopolymer Stamps to make it easier for me to line up the stamp for the Second Stamped Image.

Using the Solid Image Stamps of the Ewe and Pony/Unicorn, I inked up the stamps with Flirty Flamingo Ink, stamped them off onto another piece of Whisper White Cardstock and then, by looking through the Stamp, I lined up the Stamp over the top of the First Stamped Images and stamped the Images again.  This gives the Ewe, the Pony/Unicorn and the Hippo a Lighter Stamped Image on the different parts of their bodies that I listed above.  Phew ... that was hard to put into writing!  😊😊😊

I then did the same procedure as written above with the two Butterflies only I used Calypso Coral and Bumblebee Inks.

TIP:  You always want to stamp the darker image first as it is easier to see a darker first stamped image through the photopolymer stamp and to be able to line it up easier for the second stamped image.

I stamped the coordinating Faces onto the Hippo, Pony/Unicorn, Ewe and Butterflies with Memento Black Ink.

I stamped my Flowers in Bumblebee Ink.

I stamped my Balloons in Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grape Ink.

Using the coordinating Hippo & Friends Dies, I die cut out my stamped images.

I die cut out the Squiggly Line Die from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock for the Balloon Strings and the Flower Stems.  I also die cut out the Flower Leaves from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock.

Using the "fluttering by just to say Hi" stamp, I masked off the word Hi and just stamped the words "fluttering by just to say" in Memento Black Ink onto the leftover piece of Pool Party DSP.

I really wanted to have a Cloud to stamp my Sentiment in and I realized that I could just use a Flower Die as some of the Flower Dies do look like Clouds.

So, using the new Fabulous Florals Dies, I lined up the Sentiment inside one of the Solid Image Flower Dies and die cut it out.  I put the Cloud back into the Die and partially die cut some of the bottom of it off.  (Or, you could fussy cut it or just leave it as is.)

I adhered most of the die cuts to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered the Cloud, Butterflies, Hippo, the Hippo's Balloon and the one Center Flower with Stampin' Dimensionals as shown in the picture above.

I also stamped and die cut another Hippo Solid Image in Gorgeous Grape for the inside of my Card.

And, if the Animals, Butterfliies, Balloons, Flowers; etc. aren't enough for Dies, Stampin' Up! also included various Label shapes in the Hippo & Friends Die set.  AWESOME!!!  😊😊😊

So, I die cut out one Label from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and another Label from Bumblebee Cardstock.

I stamped "hippo birthday" in Memento Black Ink onto the Bumblebee Label.

I adhered the two Labels and the Hippo to the inside of my Card.

I just know that Bree will LOVE her Birthday Card!!!  😊😊😊

Have a Blessed Day!!!
