Flowers For Every Season, Forever Fern, Sunflowers, Detailed Trio - Friend Card with Gift Card Holder

Phew...it's hot, humid and downright yucky outside today in Midland, Michigan.  Our high for today is 88F with a low of 58F for tonight.  We are having some severe thunderstorms move through this afternoon and into the evening.  The winds are SSW at 10 to 20mph with higher wind gusts and hail as the storms move through.

My share for today is a Friend Card with a Gift Card Holder using some new products from Stampin' Up!'s new 2020-21 Annual Catalog.  Let's take a look:

My Card Base is Early Espresso Cardstock.

I trimmed out two panels of the new 6" x 6" Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper; one in Bumblebee and one in Misty Moonlight, to measure 3-3/4" x 5".  I laid the panel on my Stampin' Trimmer from corner-to-corner and cut it into two triangles.

I adhered the Bumblebee panel to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue in the upper left hand corner.

I adhered the Misty Moonlight panel to my Card Base with Tear & Tape Adhesive (cut in half lengthwise) for a pocket as shown in the picture above.  So, you would apply the adhesive on the bottom and the right side of the triangle.

I cut a length of the new Open-Weave Ribbon from the new Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and cut one edge off lengthwise.

I applied a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive (cut in half lengthwise) across the long edge of the Misty Moonlight panel and pleated the Ribbon as shown in the picture above.

Using the new Sunflowers Dies, I die cut out the Detailed Sunflower and the Solid Sunflower from Bumblebee Cardstock.  I adhered the Detailed Sunflower to the Solid Sunflower.

I die cut out three each of the Detailed Leaf and Solid Leaf from Just Jade Cardstock.  I adhered the Detailed Leaves to the Solid Leaves.

Using my 1-3/4" Circle Punch, I punched out a Circle from Early Espresso Cardstock.  I laid the Circle down on my BIG Shot Machine Platform and die cut out the center of the Sunflower.  I trimmed off the partial petal pieces and adhered the two Circles to the Center of my Sunflower.

"What's that you say?"  "Why, yes!!!"  There is something hiding behind the Sunflower in the pocket!!!  😊😊😊

I made a Gift Card Holder to tuck in behind the Sunflower and into the Pocket.

I used the Cinnamon Cider pattern of DSP from the new 6" x 6" Flowers For Every Season DSP.

I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners of my Gift Card Holder.

Using Stampin' Up!'s new Forever Fern Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink onto the front of my Gift Card Holder.

I fussy cut out a partial Sunflower from the Sunflower pattern in the DSP and adhered it to the upper right corner of my Gift Card Holder.

I cut a length of the new Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker's Twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, tied it into a Triple Bow and adhered it to the center of my Sunflower.

When the Gift Card Holder is in place, it makes for a pretty backdrop on the Card Base.

I adhered three of the new Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots from the new 2020-2022 In Color

Enamel Dots; two Dots to my Card and one to my Gift Card Holder as shown in the picture above.

Have a Blessed Day!!!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
