Stampin' Up! One in a Melon June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Project, Pocketful of Sunshine, Pocket Framelits

Well, I guess when you are declared a State of Emergency that the Fire Department is assigned to go out and check on everyone door-to-door.  I didn't know that.  So, we had two Fire Fighters come to our house yesterday to make sure we were o.k. and to access the damage from all the flooding.  It is sad to see all the flooding in the area, people without homes and all the roads that are washed out.  It is kind of neat though to have someone come and check on you to make sure you are o.k.  We had two of our fruit trees come right out of the ground from all the water, a BIG sink hole in the back yard over the tube that goes from the pond to the river and two of our bridges washed away on the back of our property.  So, we can't even get to the back of our property now until we can build new bridges  I'm thankful though as it could have been much worse.

My share for today is Stampin' Up's One in a Melon June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit alternate project that I designed casing a Pocket Box project on page 64 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  I combined the One in a Melon Paper Pumpkin Kit with Stampin' Up's new Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp Set and the Pocket Framelits Dies.

Let's take a look:

This is a really cute project designed by Stampin' Up only I made mine with the contents from Stampin' Up's One in a Melon Paper Pumpkin Kit and SU's new Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp Set and Pocket Framelits Dies.  Isn't it neat!

Using SU's new Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp Set, I stamped two Pockets and the center Stitching onto one of the Gift Bags from the One in a Melon Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I stamped the little Label Tag and the HBD in Emerald Envy Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.

Using SU's new Pocket Framelits Dies, I die cut out the two Pockets and the little Label Tag.

I trimmed out a piece from another one of the Gift Bags to measure 1-1/2" x 7-1/2" for the sides of the Pocket.  You can make the sides any dimension that you want.  If you want a skinnier Pocket, trim out your piece to measure 3/4" x 7-1/2" or 1" x 7-1/2".

I scored the side piece at 2-1/4", 3-3/4" and 5-1/4".

I adhered the little Label Tag to the front side of the Pocket die cut.

I adhered SU's Tear & Tape to all of the Pocket flaps and then adhered the side piece to the two Pockets.

I trimmed out another piece from the Gift Bag to measure 3/4" x 7-1/2" and adhered each end to the inside of the Pocket for a handle.

Using SU's new Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp Set, I stamped the Money stamp in Basic Black Ink onto Whisper White, water colored it with my Aqua Painter and Emerald Envy Ink and fussy cut it out.

I stamped the Glasses onto Melon Mambo Cardstock with Basic Black Ink and die cut them out with the Pocket Framelits Dies.  Using SU's Fine Tip Glue Bottle, I applied the Glue to each Lens on the Glasses and let them dry.

Using SU's new Lemon Lime Twist 1/4" Ombre Ribbon, I tied a bow around 3 miniature candy bars, wrapped some of the Cotton Paper from the Kit around them and placed them in the Pocket.

When the Money stamped image was dry, I placed it in the Pocket.

When the Glasses were dry, I placed them in the Pocket too!

Darling little project!  Quick and Easy and oh-so-Cute!!!

That's all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed my blog post and thanks for stopping by!

  1. So cute, Lynn! I love the "stuffed" pocket! Those sunglasses make it with their pop of pink. You've inspired me today with a card I need to make and have been struggling without! TFS!
