Stampin' Up Wonderful Winterland December 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit Pop Up Gift Card Holder

We are expecting some rain for later today and rain mixed with snow throughout the night.  High's will be in the 40's, so if we get any snow, I doubt that it will stick around.  And, that's O.K. with me!

My share for today is a Pop Up Gift Card Holder that I made using Stampin' Up's December 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Wonderful Winterland.  I also used Stampin' Up's Tin of Tags Stamp Set, Stitched Framelits and Merry Tags Framelits Dies and Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Let's take a look:

I have so many idea's with the Wonderful Winterland Paper Pumpkin kit.  If only I had more time!!!  I could work on it day in and day out!!!

When I was in New York last year for Christmas, my Niece Amy gave me some Gift Card Holder kits to put together when I got home.  This is one of them that I CASE'd (Copy And Share Everything) from Amy so I don't know if there are any video's for it or who designed it so I can't give anyone credit for it.  If anyone knows where it came from, maybe you could leave me a comment.

I created different dimensions than the Gift Card Holder that Amy gave to me so it would fit the Laser Cut Die Cuts in the Wonderful Winterland Paper Pumpkin Kit.

The Gift Card Holder is very simple and very fun to put together.

There are two pieces of cardstock for the Base of the Pop Up Gift Card Holder:

- Cut one piece at 4-1/4" x 6" and score and fold at 2" & 5"
- Cut another piece at 4-1/4" x 3-7/8" and score and fold at 1"

I used SU's Pool Party Cardstock.

On the larger 4-1/4" x 6" piece, adhere 1/8" Sticky Tape as shown in the picture above.  Stampin' Up does not sell their Tear & Tape in 1/8" widths so I used Sookwang Adhesive Tape.  Make sure to leave the top of the holder free of adhesive so your gift card will slide in and out of the slot.

Adhere the two pieces of cardstock together as shown in the picture above.  This creates the slot for your Gift Card.

When you open up your Gift Card Holder, up pops the Gift Card.  So cute!

Using SU's Tin of Tags Stamp Set, I stamped To and From in Dapper Denim Ink on the first section of the Gift card Holder.

Using the Wonderful Winterland Stamp Set from the Kit, I stamped the Snowflakes and adhered the Large Sequins from the Kit randomly around the Snowflakes.

You can see in the picture above how the Gift Card sits nicely in the slot.

For the last section of the Gift Card Holder, I used Stampin' Up's new Stitched Framelits Dies.  The sales for these dies were so HUGE that they may be in back order already.  I do know that SU put in another order; but, I'm not sure when they are expected to arrive.  They will also be available in the new Annual Catalog next year.  They are on sale right now and will be more costly in the new Annual Catalog.

I used the Largest Stitched Framelit Die and die cut an Oval from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and then the Second Largest Stitche Framelit Die to die cut another Oval from Whisper White Cardstock.

I adhered the Pear Pizzazz Oval to the last section using Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I stamped one of the Sentiments from Wonderful Winterland Stamp Set in Dapper Denim Ink on the Whisper White Oval and adhered it over the Pear Pizzazz Oval.

The picture above shows the Gift Card Holder laying flat with the Gift Card Popped Up!!!

For the Front Flap on the Pop Up Gift Card Holder, I trimmed out a piece of SU's Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper at 2" x 4-1/4" and adhered it over the Front Flap with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I then stamped the Laser Cut Die Cuts from the kit and adhered them to the Front Flap as per the instructions in the Kit to make the cards. I used Mono Multi Purpose Glue to adhere the Laser Cut Die Cuts to the Front Flaps instead of Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's Merry Tags Framelits Dies, I die cut the Deer Ornament from SU's Silver Foil Cardstock.  I fussy cut out the Deer and adhered the Deer with Glue Dots that I applied three high for a little more dimension.

I used the Whisper White and Silver Metallic Baker's Twine from the Kit and to tie it around the Front Flap and into a bow for a Belly Band.
