Ahhhh...I got my cards from Stampin' Up's You're So Lovely Project Kit done without any more greasy/oily accidents. What a great feeling and I LOVE how they turned out!
The kit makes 12 cards, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", and 12 bags with tags. Included in the kit are gold foil card bases, white envelopes and glassine bags; Baker's Twine, sponge brayer with extra sponge; stencils, die-cut tags, banners, and accent pieces; banner paper clips and metallic enamel shapes.
The kit coordinates with SU's You're So Lovely Stamp Set. I used my Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Basic Black Archival and Whisper White Craft Inks, Stampin' Dimensionals and Gold Metallic Thread to complete my cards.
Today, I will share the cards that I made and hopefully tomorrow I can share the gift bags.
Let's jump right in with the project:
The only thing I did different from the instructions on this card was to add some Gold Metallic Thread. You all know how I like my Bling-Bling! =)
The only thing I did different from the instructions on this card was to use a sentiment from a different SU stamp set in the annual catalog called Crazy About You.
My Good Friend and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, had the great idea to line our envelopes. Gosh, I haven't lined an envelope in forever! It sure Glam's them up! I used SU's 2015-2017 In-Color Designers Series Paper Stack to line my envelopes. Kadie is so talented and I just adore her work!
The stencils in the kit are amazing. You get negative and positive images of a Butterfly, Gem, Star, Wreath and Circles Within a Circle. In the picture above, I used a SU sponge and sponged around the solid butterfly image.
The only thing I did different on this card was to add an antenna to the butterfly using SU's Two-Tone Mint Macaron and Basic Black Baker's Twine and used the Hello sentiment.
In the picture above, I used the negative image and sponged the inside of the star on my card. The only thing I did different from the instructions on this card was to add some SU Gold Metallic Thread and used a sentiment from SU's Talented Trio Stamp Set in the Annual Catalog.
On this card, I used a sponge dauber to sponge the ink around the outside of the solid star stencil.
I LOVE this gem shape and how perfect for a wedding card. One thing I highly suggest with this kit is to make sure your die-cuts line up with your sponged image before you glue them down. The die-cuts are not symmetrical in shape.
The only thing that I did different on the card above was to use a different sentiment. I used the LOVE YOU sentiment from the new 2016 Occasions Catalog Stamp Set called Bloomin' Love.
And, I have 4 cards left to play with (well 3 after my Hubby ruined one). The best thing is I can make my cards any way that I want and come up with some very different creations.
Hopefully, I will be back tomorrow to show you the gift bags from this project kit.
