Stampin' Up Easter Basket Easter Lamb, Bunny, Chick, Cadbury Egg Treat Holder V

The rain, sleet and snow finally stopped.  Lot's of tree limbs down.  You can still hear the tree's limbs clanking together as the wind blows.  I hope it warms up soon before the wind takes even more limbs down.  Come on Spring!!!

My blog post e-mails stopped going out to my subscribers on Feb.10th this year.  It took a while to realize that this happened and then a while to get it fixed.  Hopefully, you are all receiving my blog post e-mail in your mail boxes today!

All week long this week, I'm sharing the contents of the Easter Basket that I made for my Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, as a door prize for her Down Line meeting.

Let's take a peek at the basket again that I've already posted and the fourth item:

 Here's the Easter Basket again!  I really hated to part with it!  Can't wait to see who wins it!!!

I made 5 Easter Lamb cards using Stampin' Up's Easter Lamb Stamp Set with a sleeve around them using SU's Mossy Meadow Designer Series Paper.  

Isn't that Lamb just too cute peeking out of the sleeve!!!

My cards are 3" x 3" which would be 3" x 6" scored and folded at 3".  I used Stampin' Up's soon to be retiring 2014-2016 In Colors of Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist for my card bases.

My card front panels are 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" of SU's Shimmery White Cardstock.  

I stamped the Easter Lamb from SU's Easter Lamb Stamp Set in Black Memento Ink.

I used SU's Stampin' Write Markers to color in the Lambs and grass using Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate for the lambs, Old Olive for the grass and Pink Pirourette for the face and ears.

I tied some of SU's Thick Baker's Twine (Retired - from last year's Sale-a-Bration) around the bottom of each front card panel and adhered it to the card bases with Stampin' Dimensionals.  

I also tied bows and adhered them to each lamb using Mono-Multi Purpose Glue.

Now for the disappointing part!   I forgot to take measurements of the sleeve before I mailed the basket out to Kadie.  I think the piece of Mossy Meadow DSP was like 8" and I punched both ends with SU's OrnateTag Topper Punch.

I folded the sleeve around the cards and judged where my score lines should be.  I slid the piece in my Stampin' Trimmer and cute each corner on an angle from the tip of the punched edge to the first score line.

Using my 3/8" SU Handheld Punch, I punched a hole in each end, threaded some of the Retired Thick Bakers Twine through each hole and tied it in a bow.

Goodness, did we get the ice on top of snow.  I stuck my head outside and all you can hear is the tree limbs clinking together in the wind.  We only got about 3" of snow so far and a lot of ice on top.  Hope it melts quick...and then...our road will get messy again!  Not such a good start to our Spring!

What a fun Easter Basket!

Pictured above is a Cadbury Egg Treat Holder. There's a YouTube video on how to make it and, if I remember correctly, it was titled Easter Gift Idea.  I will include the instructions too in my post today!

I used Stampin' Up's 2014-2016 In-Color Designer Series Paper to make mine.  These colors will be retiring soon!   And, I used some of SU's Blushing Bride and Garden Green colors too!  It was fun using a lot of different SU colors to make this project!

Pictured above is a side shot of how the Cadbury egg sits inside the treat holder.

My cardstock is cut at 2" x 7-1/4" and scored at 3-5/8" - 4" - 3-1/4".  
Punch each end using Stampin' Up's Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
Accordion fold the score lines depending on which side of the cardstock that you want on the outside.
Using SU's Large Oval Punch, I punched an oval, centered and about a 1/4" above the score line, in each side of the cardstock.

I put a SU Glue Dot in each top corner of the treat holder, centered my Cadbury Egg in the punched windows and pressed the top closed.

I then made a bow using SU's Bow Builder Punch and adhered it to the top using SU's Glue Dots.

I took an additional step of adding a sentiment.  I stamped my sentiment from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes in Black Memento Ink on SU's Whisper White Cardstock.  I adhered the sentiment to one of the ovals that I punched out using SU's Stampin' Dimensionals and then adhered it to the Cadbury Egg using SU's Glue Dots.

Another BIG storm is moving in and it started snowing this morning.  We are supposed to expect anywhere from 5" to 12" of snow between today and tomorrow.  I was hoping not to see anymore of the white stuff until this Winter.

All week long this week, I'm sharing the contents of the Easter Basket that I made for my Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, as a door prize for her Down Line meeting.

Let's take a peek at the basket again that I've already posted and the second item:

I filled one of Stampin' Up's Dotted Cone Cello Bags with Peanut Butter pieces.

Sorry for the shadow's in my pictures.  It's been cloudy and dreary out again.  

I die cut the largest flower using SU's Flower Fair Framelits Dies from SU's Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper.

Using SU's And Many More Stamp Set, I masked and stamped the sentiment with Black Memento Ink; half on the top and half on the bottom of the die cut flower piece.

I adhered a Chocolate Crispy Carrot treat to the tag with SU's Glue Dots.

I punched a hole in a petal in the die cut flower piece and used some of SU's Retired Mossy Meadow Bakers Twine and tied a hanger.

I tied the bag off with SU's Mossy Meadow 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I tucked some of the hand shredded Mossy Meadow Cardstock strips and the hanger from the tag in the bow as I was tying the bow.

Stampin' Up Stampin' Up Easter Basket Easter Lamb, Bunny, Chick, Cadbury Egg Treat Holder II

Well, our first day of Spring was mostly sun all day and in the 40's; but, the wind made it feel much cooler.  AND, can you believe that we are expecting 5-12" of snow this Wednesday and into Thursday.  I want to catch that groundhog and put him in the freezer so he can feel how cold it is!!!  =)  Half kidding!!!  I love animals way too much!

All week long this week, I'm sharing the contents of the Easter Basket that I made for my Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, as a door prize for her Down Line meeting.

Pictured above is the little check from Stampin' Up's Sale-a-Bration Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take the picture before I wrapped it in a cello bag so the picture has a lot of shadows.

I stamped the chick from SU's Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set on SU's Daffodil Delight Cardstock using SU Memento Black Ink.

Using SU's Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, I colored in the chick's beak and feet.  Although, you can't see his feet as I wrapped it before I took the picture.  When the chick is unwrapped, his feet are down and make him look like he is sitting.

I fussy cut the chick out using my SU Snips.

I stamped Happy Easter from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set on SU's Whisper White Cardstock using SU Memento Black Ink.  I punched it out using SU's Word Window Punch and adhered it to the chick with SU Stampin' Dimensionals.

I trimmed out a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 1" x about 6" and wrapped it around a Cadbury Egg.  I adhered the ends together with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue making sure that the bottom of the Cardstock ring touched the very bottom so the egg could stand up straight.

I then adhered the little chick to the Cardstock ring with SU Glue Dots.

I put the little chick Cadbury Egg holder into a cello bag and tied it off with a pretty bow using some retired bakers twine from last seasons Sale-a-Bration.

I hope they like him.
