Stampin' Up! October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit Joy To The World, Most Wonderful Time, Best Plaid Builder - Alternate Slider Gift Card Holder Project

It's a cloudy day outside today in Midland, Michigan.  I truly thought I saw a couple Snowflakes this morning.  Our high temp for today is 42F with a low of 33F for tonight.  The winds are SW at 5 to 10mph.

My share for today is an Alternate Gift Card Holder Project that I made using Stampin' Up!'s October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Joy to the World and some supplies from my personal stash.  Let's take a look:

I made this Gift Card Holder from one of the Card Bases from the October 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Joy to the World.

 

Pictured above is the Slider Gift Card Holder Slider Insert.

Using my Stampin' Trimmer, I trimmed off 7/8" from the Kraft side of the Card Base (Shown at the top in the picture above).

I scored the Printed side of the Card Base at 5/8" (Shown at the bottom in the picture above).

I left the natural Score in the Card Base.

I then scored the Bottom of the Gift Card Holder at 5/8" (Shown at the right in the picture above).  I then trimmed off the bottom two corners and then angled the two Flaps as shown in the picture above.

And, again, I forgot to order Stampin' Up!'s Tear & Tape Adhesive so I had to use what I had in my supplies.  So, adhere your Adhesive Tape across the Kraft side (Shown at the top in the picture above).

Using my 1" Stampin' Up! Punch, I punched a Half Circle for a Thumb Hole as shown in the picture above.  So, the Thumb Hole makes the Insert easy to remove from the Gift Card Holder.

I adhered Adhesive Tape across the Top Flap (shown on the Top in the picture) and the Bottom Flap (shown on the Right in the picture).  

*Note:  On the bottom Flap (shown on the right side in the picture above), don't adhere your tape all the way to the end of your Bottom Flap or your Gift Card Holder Panel will stick to the Adhesive and not open up correctly.

Using Stampin' Up!'s Best Plaid Builder Dies, I die cut the more Solid Plaid Die from Just Jade Cardstock.  I then die cut the more open Plaid Die from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.

I adhered the two Plaid Die Cuts together as shown in the picture above.

I then trimmed off the ends and cut them in half.

I adhered one half to my Gift Card Holder as shown in the picture above.

Using the Joy to the World Stamp Set, I stamped one of the Wreath's from the Kit in Just Jade Ink and adhered it to my Gift Card Holder with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered one of the Brass Foil Sentiments from the Kit to my Wreath.

I trimmed out a 3" x 5" panel from the White/Gold Stripes pattern from the Most Wonderful Time Designer Series Paper for the Insert.

I adhered the second half of the Best Plaid panel to the Insert.

Using the Joy to the World Stamp Set, I stamped 'Merry Christmas' onto one of the Stitched White Labels from the Kit and adhered it to my Gift Card.

I adhered my Gift Card to my Insert.

I cut a length of Stampin' Up!'s 3/8" Real Red Ribbon, wrapped it around the Insert and tied it into a Bow.  

I slid the Insert into the Gift Card Holder.

Now, all you do is grab the Bow and slide your Insert out!!!

I thought about adhering some embellishments to the front of the Gift Card Holder; but, I decided not too!

Personal Note: I received my Cut & Emboss Standard Size Machine and I am totally in LOVE with it!  It is so much easier for me to turn the handle and, honestly, it is so much more 'smoother'!!!  I also LOVE how it folds up for storage!!!
