Best Catch, Catch of the Day, Basket Weave, Subtle - 3D Fishing Creel Basket Project

It's a beautiful day out today with the sun shining full on and not a cloud in the sky.  The winds are light and variable at 3mph.   Our high for today is 43F with a low of 28F tonight.  It's warming up a little bit at a time.  Yay!

My share for today is a Best Catch - Catch of the Day Fishing Creel Basket.  Let's take a look:  

O.K.  Here is my Fishing Creel Basket...finally!!!  My fibremyalgia, allergies and arthritis are all acting up so bad that I'm really needing more rest.  So, my apologies for being so late in sharing this with all of you.

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I get a free Stampin' Success Magazine on a quarterly basis.  The Stampin' Up! Stampin' Success Magazine provides Demonstrators access Make & Takes, projects for Event Demonstrations, projects for Host Gifts, Video's and On-Line Extra's.

Anyways, Demonstrators were able to Download a pattern for the Fishing Creel Basket in this quarter's On-Line Extra's.  So...I'm sharing my version of the Fishing Creel Basket.

Once I had my template cut out from Crumb Cake Cardstock, I embossed it with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder.

I then figured out my own dimensions for the Lid, the Closure, the Handle and what size Envelope that I wanted to put on the front.  

Once I had the pieces trimmed out, I then Dry Embossed the pieces with the Subtle Embossing Folder and Wet Embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

I decided on an Envelope for a 3" x 3" Card.  You can use the Gift Card size Envelope too as the Designer used.

I assembled my Fishing Creel Basket with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I adhered 4 Stampin' Up! True Gentlemen Buttons; one on each end of the handle, one on the basket closure and one on the envelope closure.

I'm showing two different types of closures for my Envelope.  One type of closure is Tear & Tape and the other is a tiny magnet that I purchased on the Internet.  I trimmed off a small piece of the Embossed Handle and adhered it over the bottom magnet so you wouldn't see the bottom magnet.  And, wowzers, did I adhere it on crooked or what!!!  Geesh!

For the Fishing Creel Basket Closure, I just tucked the top under the top of the Envelope to keep it closed.  So, when I adhered the Envelope onto the Basket, I left a portion of the center top of the Envelope free of adhesive.

Again, I am putting my 3" x 3" Card that I made last week into my Envelope on the Basket.

Again, you can always make your Envelope Gift Card sized.

I water colored my fish the same as yesterday project and made the Fishing Lure the same as yesterday also.

OCCASIONS AND SALE-A-BRATION SALES PERIODS BEGIN: 

The sales periods for Customers for the 2019 occasions catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure begin at 3:00 AM (MT).  Sale-A-Bration runs through March 31, 2019; the occasions catalog runs through June 3, 2019.

Stampin' Up!'s red rubber stamps are now better then ever!

Cling stamps were first introduced in Japan beginning with their 2018-2019 annual catalog. The new stamp line has been a smashing success. We are excited to offer cling stamps in all other markets beginning with the 2019 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure. During the transition, be sure to view product details carefully both in publications (each stamp type is identified with an icon) and when placing orders to note the stamp medium.

• Beginning with the 2019 occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure, all new stamp sets will be available either in cling (for red rubber stamps) or photopolymer.
• Stamps in the 2018-2019 annual catalog will continue to be available in clear-mount, wood-mount, or photopolymer.
• Red rubber stamp sets (clear-mount or wood-mount) in the annual catalog that will be carrying over will transition to cling with the 2019-2020 annual catalog. Watch for more information about carryover stamp sets in April 2019 with the regularly scheduled communication about catalog transitions, the carryover list, and the retiring products list.

• In 2019-2020 annual catalog, clear-mount and wood-mount stamps* will no longer be available. The only exception is background stamps in North America only, which will still be available in wood-mount.
  • *Wood-mount stamp set sales have been steadily declining for several years. Stampin’ Up! research and sales teams took this and several other factors into consideration before discontinuing wood-mount stamps. We are confident the transition to cling stamps will be beneficial in many ways for demonstrators, customers, and the company.
