Stampin' Up Darling Doily Tag/Ornament Holdler with Delicate Ornament Tags/Ornaments

That title is sure a mouthful, eh!

I'm late getting my blog done again today so I'll get right to my project:

I used Stampin' Up's Darling Doily Thinlit Die (Retired) and made a tag holder box out of it with a SU Festive Flower belly band to hold some Delicate Ornament tags that I designed. 

The above picture shows the whole ensemble that I designed.

Here is the SU Darling Doily tag holder box with the SU Festive Flower belly band.

The belly band is 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" long.  I used SU's Real Red Envelope paper to make the petals of the flower and the belly band and SU's Old Olive Cardstock to make the leaves.  I punched two flower centers using SU's Crushed Curry Cardstock and crossed them together.  I added a small, punched circle to the very center.

The flower is so pretty.  I made it using SU's Festive Flower Builder Punch.  You can also stamp the veins in the flower petals and leaves using SU's Reason for the Season Stamp Set.  I chose to leave the petals and leaves solid.  I LOVE this punch.  You can make and layer all different sizes of poinsettia flowers for Christmas or change the color of the cardstock and make some Spring flowers.

Above is a picture of the dimensions for the back of the tag holder box that I designed.  I used Whisper White cardstock cut at 4"x4 3/4".  I started scoring using my SU Simply Scored Scoring Tool with the 4 3/4" edge at the top.  Score at 1 1/4" and 3 1/2".  (I forgot to put the scoring dimensions on the dimension paper in the above picture.)  Turn left and score at 2 3/4". 

Fold up on all score lines.  Cut flaps at each score line up to the first score line.  Fold and adhere corners like the side of a box. 

I die cut one SU Darling Doily out of SU Whisper White Cardstock.  I scored 3 sides at 7/8". Cut flaps at each score line up to the first score line.  Fold and adhere corners like the side of a box. I adhered the front and back of the box together at the sides and bottom using MonoMulti Purpose glue.

For my tags/ornaments, I die cut 4 of the long SU Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies; 2 from SU Old Olive Cardstock and 2 from SU Real Red Cardstock.  

I also die cut 4 of the ornament caps; 2 from SU's Gold Foil Paper and 2 from SU's Silver Foil Paper.  I punched 4 scalloped circles; 2 from SU's Gold Glimmer Paper and 2 from SU's Silver Glimmer Paper, using SU's 2" Scalloped Circle Punch.   

Using SU's Stampin' Dimensionals, I adhered the Scalloped Circles to the Cardstock Ornaments.  I did the same with SU's Gold and Silver small foil doilies.

I stamped 4 of the bulb image from SU's Lots of Joy Stamp Set on SU Whisper White Cardstock; 2 using SU's Old Olive Ink and 2 using SU's Real Red Ink.  I then punched the centers of the ornaments out using SU's 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  These were adhered to the ornaments using SU's Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using MonoMulti Purpose glue, I adhered SU's Winter Wonderland Embellishments to the centers of each ornament.

Look at the height I achieved with the Stampin' Dimensionals.  Awesome!!!

Stampin' Up Home for Christmas Tags with Doilies - Merry Moments Tag Holder

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I made up some tags with Stampin' Up's Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper and SU's Silver and Gold Doilies!  I also created a tag holder on SU's Envelope Punch Board.  Let's take a look:

Below is a picture of the tag holder that I created on my SU Envelope Punch Board using SU's Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack.  SU's DSP Stacks are 6"x6" which is the perfect size for my holder.  I slid my paper in the board with the left edge of the paper to the 3" mark; punch/score; slide left to the 3 3/4" mark; punch/score/ turn; place paper in board lining up the needle on the board with the previous score lines; punch/score/punch/score/turn; repeat scoring step one more time without punching for the open box style.  Before assembling, I cut off about 1" of the paper on the front corner so you could see Santa's face.

SU's Tea Lace Doilies are a lot of fun.  They add such a pretty touch and can be brayered with any color ink or dotted with a flicker of ink or stamped with some splatters like using the splatter stamp in SU's Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.

I LOVE the way the belly band turned out.  I cut a long 1" strip of the SU Home for Christmas blue with white dots and a 5/8" strip of the music paper each about 8 1/4" long and used SU's Fast Fuse to adhere them together.  I then wrapped the strips around the box lightly crimping the corners with my fingers and Fast Fusing the ends together in the back.

With SU's Real Red Card Stock and the Home for Christmas blue and white DSP, I die cut SU's falala twice using SU's Seasonal Frame Thinlits Dies and the new Precision Base Plate.  I LOVE this new die cutting plate and would highly recommend it to anyone who die cuts intricate dies.  It cuts everything perfectly, only making one pass through the Big Shot and I didn't even have to use wax paper.  It just fell out of the die!  Amazing!  Then I used SU's Fine Tip glue bottle to adhere the two falala's together slightly off center.  The Fine Tip glue bottle works perfect for these skinny sentiments.  I used SU's Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the sentiment up on the belly band.

 



Next up are the tags that I created.....

Using the solid ornament image from SU's Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies, I die cut 4 of the large ornaments from SU's Old Olive Cardstock.  I also die cut 4 ornament caps; 2 each from SU's Gold Foil Paper and two from the Silver Foil Paper.

I fussy cut the poinsettia's, Santa's and deer from SU's Home for Christmas DSP.  Using SU's new Wink of Stella Brush (available in the coming SU Occasions Catalog in January), I outlined all the poinsettia, green leaves and all the veins.  It's really hard to capture in a picture; but, it sure gave them a really cool, sparkly shine.

I adhered the Old Olive cardstock ornaments with MonoMulti Purpose glue directly to SU's Silver and Gold Doilies.  Then I layered the poinsettia's, Santa's and Deer using SU Stampin' Dimentionals and placed the pieces onto the ornament. The doilies and the Wink of Stella really made these ornaments sparkle and shine!

All that was left was to cut about 7" of SU's Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, tie the twine to the caps of the ornament tags and put them in the holder.  Makes for a great gift!!!

Stampin' Up - Ornate Tag Topper Hershey Nugget Treat Holder

Hello Blogger Friends!  I'm still dealing with sinus issues so haven't felt my best.  I did get a little Stampin' Up Ornate Tag Topper treat holder made up for today.  Let's take a look:

I love the sparkle and shine that the SU Glimmer Paper creates although I can't capture its beauty in a picture for the world.

In the picture above, I used SU's Ornate Tag Topper Punch and SU's Antique Tag Stamp Set.  

The cardstock is SU Real Red and Night of Navy.  I LOVE the silver against the Night of Navy.   

The SU Silver 1/8" ribbon bow gave it the BIG wow factor!

Below is a second treat holder I made:

On this treat holder, I used the SU Gold Glimmer Paper with SU'sNight of Navy and Old Olive cardstock.  

The sentiment is from SU's Christmas Cuties Stamp Set.

I used SU's Gold 1/8" ribbon and tied a bow for the closure at the top.

I even used the hole dots that punch out in the tag as embellishments.

These would make such cute gifts on your place settings at the dinner table for family and friends.  So quick and easy to make too!

And, above is a picture with the wrapped Hershey Nuggets that go inside the treat holder.  I would have embellished the cardstock around the Hershey Nuggets; but, just didn't feel up to it today.

Stampin' Up Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin Alternate Card IV - Fishy Christmas Wishes

Gosh, it's been so much fun playing with Stampin' Up's Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin kit.  And, I didn't use anything from my SU personal stash.  Here's the last of the alternate Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin cards that I designed:

The Mistletoe, turned up-side-down, in the kit reminded me of vegetation that you see in fish aquariums.  So, I had to make my own fish and aquarium.  Too funny how the mind works some times.

Again, I partially die cut the largest of SU's Deco Label Framelits Dies from an included Envelope and trimmed the bottom off for my aquarium.  I then die cut the white back of a card base using the second largest die for the water.  I adhered the white piece to the red piece with Mono Multi Purpose glue.  Then I adhered it to my card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut the tops off some of the Mistletoe and adhered them up-side-down with Stampin' Dimensionals for the vegetation.

I punched a small circle from the Envelope liner for the fish body.  I punched small circles for the fishes eyes, mouth and his Santa hat pom pom from Stampin' Up's Owl Builder Punch.  I fussy cut the hat out of the envelope and glued it all together to form the fish and Santa Hat.  Remember yesterday when I said you had to wait until today to see what I did with the tops of the Mistletoe.  Well...they became the fins for my fish.  Too funny!  Anyways, I adhered the fish in the aquarium using double Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment on the bulb print card base and a piece of the Cherry Cobbler Envelope using Stampin' Up's Tags & Labels Framelits.  I adhered them together and to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered 3 pearls from the kit for the fishes air bubbles.

SU's Crystal Effects was added to the fishes fins, eyes, mouth and Santa Hat for some shine.

I LOVE my Paper Pumpkins!!!

Stampin' Up Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin Alternate Card III - Flower Bouquet

When I saw the Mistletoe die cuts in the new Stampin' Up Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin kit, they reminded me of the vases you see in art magazines with all the fancy designs painted on the vase.  So, I designed a flower vase with some tulips in it for and alternate Paper Pumpkin card.  Let's take a look:

The only thing on this card that wasn't in the Stampin' Up Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin kit is the sentiment.  Since I designed a non-Christmas card, I stamped a sentiment from a past Paper Pumpkin kit called Happy Thoughts on to a piece of the lined Envelope.  I punched it out with SU's Washi Label Punch, tucked it in the bouquet and added a Stampin' Dimensional toward the end of the label.  I also gave a little curl to the end of the label.

I partially die cut the second largest SU Deco Label Framelit Die and trimmed off the end so it would look like a vase.  I wrapped the Linen Thread, that was included in the kit, around the vase two times and then tied it into a bow.  The vase was then adhered to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I trimmed off the top of two of the Mistletoe die cuts (You will have to wait until tomorrow to see what I did with them) and adhered it to the vase with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I then scattered some of the pearls around on the Mistletoe.

The tulip pieces were punched with SU's Bird Builder Punch using the wing part of the punch.  I glued three of them together to form a tulip.

The stems were fussy cut from the white with green stripes card base.

The leaves were punched using the wing portion of SU's Bird Builder Punch.  I double punched one leaf to make the smaller, elongated leaves.

I adhered the stems to the back of the tulips and adhered the stems into the vase with MonoMulti Purpose glue.  The tulips where then adhered to the top of the stems with a Stampin' Dimensional.  Then I used MonoMulti Purpose glue on the bottoms of the leaves and tucked them into the vase around the stems.

Stampin' Up Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin Alternate Card II - Christmas Bulbs

I'm lovin' Stampin' Up's Mistletoe & Holly Paper Pumpkin kit.  I just had to fussy cut the bulb trim print on the one card base in the kit to make individual Christmas bulbs.  Here's a picture of the alternate Christmas card I designed from my kit:

The only extra items I used from my personal stash is the SU Basic Rhinestone Jewels, a SU Iced Rhinestone and the SU Silver Cording.  

I partial die cut two labels using Stampin' Up's Deco Labels Collection Framelits from the white with green stripes card base and the Envelope using the two largest framelits.  I adhered the white with green stripes label to the top of my card base using MonoMulti Purpose glue. The  Cherry Cobbler Envelope label was adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I placed a Stampin' Dimensional on the back of the hand cut ornament and adhered the end of SU's Silver Cording under the Stampin' Dimensionals and then to the card base.  Then I  taped the other end of SU's Silver Cording to the back of the card base. 

I stamped the holly leaves on the leftover paper from the Mistletoe and Holly die cuts and fussy cut them out.  I punched holly berries from the Envelope in the kit with the Owl Builder Punch.  The holly leaves and berries were adhered to the top of the bulbs with MonoMulti Purpose glue.

I then added some bling-bling from my SU personal stash to decorate the bulbs.

I punched a scalloped oval from the green with white stripes card base using SU's Scallop Oval Punch.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of the Envelope, embossed  it with SU Silver Emboss Powder and punched it out with SU's Oval Punch.  Both pieces  were adhered to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added a couple SU Basic Rhinestone Jewels on each side of the sentiment. 

Using SU's Silver Cording, I tied small bows and adhered them to the top of the ornaments using SU's glue dots.  I roll them up and tuck them under the center of the bows.
