What a Batty Shirt!

What a Batty Shirt is right!  Check out all the bat's flyin' around on this Shirt & Tie card.

I don't make masculine cards very often and I had fun with this one!  So cute too with Halloween right around the corner.

Here's a closeup of the tie!

Here's a closeup of the Shirt Collar:

Here's the instructions to make the Shirt card:

I started with a plaid piece of the new Stampin' Up Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper in the new 2015 Holiday Catalog.  I LOVE those little Pumpkin Face smiles in the DSP.  The paper was cut to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".

Place the folded edge of card into the Stampin' Trimmer.  Start with the cutting blade at the bottom 4 1/4" mark and cut up to the 3" mark on the ruler.  Lift the blade up and move it to the 1 1/4" mark and cut up and off the top edge of the card.    These small cut flaps will be the collar of the shirt.  Score in between cut lines and fold.

Put a small amount of snail tape in between the collar pieces on each side.  Fold the 2 collar pieces down and on an angle as shown in picture above.  Put a Stampin' Dimensional under each collar piece to hold the points down.

The Bat stamp from SU's new Witches' Night Stamp Set was stamped all over the front of the shirt to make my own version of DSP.  I fussy cut 3 of the largest Bat's and shined them up with some Stampin' Up Crystal Effects.  LOVE this stuff!  I rolled up small glue dots and attached the Bat's to the collar when they were dry.  I also added two silver sequins for the collar buttons.

I drew out my own Tie and trimmed it out with my Stampin' Trimmer and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals on to my card.

I added 4 fussy cut pieces of SU's new Spider Web Doilies.  These are so COOL!  The front of them is black and the back is white.  So, you can color the white side with any color ink that you want.

The spider is from the new Stampin' Up Howl-o-ween Treat Stamp Set.  I fussy cut him out and shined him up with Crystal Effects also.

I adhered a short piece of the new SU Silver Cording for the Spiders Web and attached the Spider to the end with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I took 3 black sequins and 1 black star from my SU Metallics Sequin Assortment and glued them on randomly to the tie.

The RIP Tombstone brad is a non-Stampin' Up embellishment.  I've had these for years and was glad I got the chance to use them.

Hope you enjoyed my blog post today!

Bold Butterfly Bottle Holder

Say that three times real fast!  =)

I made these holders for stamping friends who come over and stamp in my Studio.  I normally put them on a full bottle of water with their FAVE drink mix in the pocket.  All they have to do is add the drink mix to the water, shake it up and drink it.  Here's a close-up.

Here's the instructions:

Card Stock - 7 3/4" x 2 1/4"
Score 2" in from each end
Fold score lines in opposite directions

Patterned Paper - 3 3/8" x 1 7/8"
Glue to front in between center score lines

Punch a 1 3/8" circle centered in between top 2 score lines
Punch another 1 3/8" circle in a piece of solid color card stock and then Punch a 1 3/4" scalloped circle around the 1 3/8" circle
Glue scalloped ring piece around the 1 3/8" circle in top of holder

Apply adhesive tape to both sides of bottom of holder and fold it up to form pocket.

Embellish and put drink mix in pocket.  You can also insert different items into the pocket like tickets, a piece of thin candy, a spoon; etc.

I used Stampin' Up's  Bold Butterfly Framelits Dies and Butterflies Thinlits Dies to die cut the two pieces of the butterfly out of SU Blackberry Bliss card stock and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the top piece.  Three SU Jewel Rhinestones were adhered down the center of the butterfly.

My center Polka Dot piece is SU So Saffron Background paper (retired).  Stampin' Up has some really gorgeous new Background papers in the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.

I used SU Old Olive cardstock for the leaves that I punched out with the SU Bird Builder punch and SU Garden Green card stock for the outside flower punched with the SU Fancy Flower punch (retired).  I stamped a flower from SU's Flower Shop stamp set with SU Rose Red Ink on Rose Red card stock and punched it out with the SU Pansy Punch.  I stamped a 1/2" circle with SU So Saffron Ink and shined it up with SU Crystal Effects.

Noel Delicate Ornaments

Since I still had my Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies out on my desk, I decided to make another Christmas card.

It's been cloudy here for a couple weeks so my picture is a little dull.  So much shinier in person!

I took a piece of Stampin' Up's Whisper White Card Stock and cut it to 8 1/2" x 4 1/4" and scored it at 5 1/2" for an A2 card base.  I cut another piece of Whisper White 4 1/8" x 5 3/8", run it through the Big Shot with Stampin' Up's Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals onto my  card base.

I ran two long pieces of SU's new White Glitter Ribbon down each side of the front panel and two short pieces of SU's new 1/8" Striped Ribbon on top of the Glitter Ribbon.  The glitter ribbon also comes in Gold and the Striped Ribbon also comes in Red.  All ribbons will be available to order in the New 2015 Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog Sept.1st.  Just perfect and beautiful ribbons for the upcoming Holiday Season.

This time, I die cut my Ornaments using the new Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies with SU's Red Foil Paper and Garden Green Card Stock.  I popped both ornaments up with Stampin' Dimensionals and centered them on top of the ribbons.  The addition of SU's new Winter Wonderland Embellishments and Jewel Rhinestones makes for an added shine.  I then topped each ornament off with bows tied from the Striped Ribbon.

The sentiment is from SU's Lots of Joy Stamp Set in the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.  I masked off the trees and stars and stamped NOEL in SU's Real Red ink onto a Whisper White hand cut banner and then added it to a slightly larger Garden Green banner.  It was then popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals in the bottom corner of the card

Chalk It Up To LOVE

I finally finished putting together my August Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin Kit called Chalk It Up To Love!  What a cute kit!

The kit includes Chalk It Up to Love Photopolymer Stamp Set, Whisper White Craft Stampin' Spot Ink, 3 Gold foil polka dot boxes, 6 Card bases (3 each of 2 designs), 6 Vanilla Envelopes, 2 Sheets of die cut banners, 3 Sheets of die cut flowers, 1 Sheet of die cut fringe, 3 Sheets of chalkboard tags, 2 Yards of black ribbon, 1 Sheet of Stampin' dimensionals and 1 Sheet of adhesive strips.

I adore the gift boxes and those BIG flowers!  I switched up the center of the flower on the right and can't make up my mind which one I like better.

The flowers and tags are adhered to the black ribbon belly band with Stampin' Up Dimensionals so it can be removed and re-used.

Along with changing up the center of the flower on this gift box, I made the bottom layer of the flower curl under and the top two layers curl upwards.

Just an awesome color combination with the black, pink, gold and vanilla!  And, the perfect sized box for some jewelry!!!  Hint, Hint!!!

Delicate Ornaments Gift Bags

Goodness, I'm quite late posting today.  My phones and internet were out most of the day.

I've had these two gift bags made since May and haven't decorated them yet!  Aren't they just adorable!!!

The gift bags were made with the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.  I cut an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of the DSP and scored it at 1 1/2" with the short end at the top of my Stampin' Trimmer.  With the long end at the top, I scored it at 1 1/2", 4", 5 1/2" and 8".  Fold on all score lines.  Cut your score lines up to the 1 1/2" mark for your bottom tabs and cut the one small tab off.  I used the new Stampin' Up Tear & Tape adhesive for the side panel to seal the flap closed.  I then put tape on two of the tabs and folded them closed to form the bottom of the bag.  I held the top edges of the bag closed and lightly pinched down the sides to form the gussets.

I die cut some SU Red Foil paper and some SU Gold Glimmer paper with the new Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies available to order Sept 1 in the new 2015 Holiday Catalog.

I stamped the word peace found in the new Peaceful Wreath stamp set in Versamark and embossed it with SU Gold Embossing Powder, punched it out with SU's Retired Small Oval Punch, sponged SU Real Red Ink lightly around the edges and adhered it to the center of the ornament with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The leaf stem was punched out of SU's Old Olive card stock and tucked behind the Sentiment with a touch of Multi Purpose Mono Glue to hold it in place.

I tied a bow with SU's new Silver Cording, also available to order Sept. 1st, and used Multi Purpose Mono Glue to adhere it to the top of the ornament.

The Christmas hook was die cut with SU's Silver foil and glued to the top center of the gift bag and I hung the ornament from the hook.

So, when the recipient receives my gift bag as a present, they will not only have a yummy chocolate treat on the inside of the bag, but a pretty, shiny ornament on the outside also to hang on their Christmas tree.  Or, I stamped TO and FROM on the back of the ornament so they could use it for a tag on a Christmas present if they choose to do so.

This ornament I made the same as the first only switched up some colors.  I'm in LOVE with the new Silver and Gold cording.  The bow's are so easy to tie and the shine is tremendous!!!

I masked and embossed the word Believe from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set also available to order Sept. 1st.

Pretty Petals Get Well

Here's a neat Get Well card that I designed for a friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator who fell and broke her knee.  I'm sending it out to her tomorrow and hope it finds her feeling better and brings a smile to her face!

I LOVE the color combination and had a lot of fun designing this card!

I used the new Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper in the Stampin' Up 2015-2016 Annual Catalog on page 144.  I die cut the two pieces of DSP with the Scalloped square in the SU Square Framelits Dies.

I made a black banner piece for behind the sentiment using the new SU Triple Banner Punch to flag the ends.  This punch cuts banner ends in 1", 1 1/2" and 2" widths and is on my FAVE list.  No more hand cutting banner ends.  Yay!!!

The sentiment was stamped in SU's Black Memento Ink using the You're in my Thoughts stamp found in the SU Best Thoughts stamp set.  I then die cut it out using the SU Lots of Labels Framelits Dies and adhered it with SU Stampin' Dimensionals.

The flowers are from a Retired SU stamp set called Petals Potpourri.  I LOVE this stamp set and can't believe that SU retired it.  The flower centers are snipped from a SU Calypso Coral Pom Pom trim which is also retired.  There is a new Real Red Pom Pom Trim in the new SU 2015 Holiday catalog available to purchase Sept. 1st.  This new trim will be so much fun to use for Christmas cards and projects.  The SU Bird Builder Punch was used to punch the leaves that are tucked behind the flowers with some Multi-Purpose Mono Glue.

Another of my FAVE's in the SU Annual Catalog is the Silver and Gold Metallic Threads. I swirled the Gold Metallic Thread behind each flower and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  It's hard to see in the picture; but, it is so gorgeous in person.  There will also be a new Silver and a new Gold Cording in the SU 2015 Holiday Catalog.  It's fabulous to use for bow's and for Christmas Tags.  It just ties so nice and neat.

Vintage Leaves

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

One of my friends Husband passed away last week.  Sympathy cards are one of the hardest cards for me to create.  Below is a picture of the card I designed and will mail out to her tomorrow.

I stamped three of the leaves from the Stampin' Up Vintage Leaves stamp set that is in the SU 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.

The acorn is from a new stamp set in the 2015 Holiday catalog called Acorny Thank You available to order September 1st.  I tied the leaves and acorn together and made the bow with SU's Linen Thread.

The Designer Series Paper is called Into the Woods and is a new DSP in the new 2015 Holiday catalog.

The sentiment is from SU's August Paper Pumpkin Kit and I accented the sentiment with 3 candy dots.

If you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin now, you will get the next two months at 50% off.

Cozy Deer Christmas Card

Hello blogger Friends:

Today I have a Sneak Peek of a Christmas card I designed using some new Stampin' Up product from the new 2015 Holiday catalog which is available to order on September 1st.

I used the following new Stampin' Up product to make this card:

Cozy Christmas stamp set for the Bells and Sentiment
Wonderland stamp set for the Trees
Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper for the fussy cut Deer
Softy Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the Background
Sleigh Ride Edgelits Dies for the Snowbanks

I'm head over heels in LOVE with those cute little deer.

The Sleigh Ride Edgelits have 3 dies.  One has 5 Houses, the other has a Horse and Sleigh and the third one has 3 Trees on it.  For my snowbanks, I used the Tree and House Edgelits and cut the trees and houses off.

Hope you enjoyed my card!!!
