Another Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box - Treat/Card Holder

I'm sure you can tell by now how much I LOVE Stampin' Up's Into the Woods Designer Series Paper as I've shown it on my blog quite a bit lately.  The colors and designs are just phenomenal!

For today, I'd like to show you another Square Pillow Box that I altered and used as a treat holder this time.  Let's take a peek!!!

I die cut the Pillow Box die twice as you normally would do.  Then, I put each die cut in my Stampin' Trimmer and cut off 1 1/2" on only one end of each die cut on the rounded flap closure end.  This allowed me to create a Pillow Box with a lid after assembling it with Stampin' Up's Tear & Tape adhesive as normal.

The picture below shows the entire Pillow Box ensemble.

The picture above shows the Pillow Box bottom and lid, the treat that I had tucked inside and the embellishing pieces.

I used approximately 25" of Stampin' Up's Into the Woods Rich Razzleberry 3/8" Cotton Ribbon to tie the ensemble all together.  I LOVE the texture of this ribbon!

The Acorn Builder Punch was used to punch the bottom of the acorn out of Soft Suede Card Stock and the top from the Into the Woods DSP.  The top of the acorn was popped up using SU's dimensionals.

I took a piece of SU's 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, cut the edges off along the sewing lines and pulled some of the burlap threads out to use for my bow.  I used one of the threads to tie to the stem on the acorn and then I created a loop in the thread so you can slip it over the bow on the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon on the Pillow Box.

For the treat, I took a Stampin' Up 4"x6" Cellophane Bag, filled it with candy corn, folded the top over and stapled it closed.

I stamped and die cut 3 leaves using SU's Vintage Leaves Stamp Set and Leaflets Framelits and glued them all together at the base of the stems.  I punched another acorn exactly like the one on the Pillow Box and adhered it to the leaves with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Another bow was made and adhered to the leaves with Multipurpoise Liquid Glue and then the whole thing was adhered to the Cellophane Bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Another Pillow Box Treat Holder made!!  Not sure who the recipient will be yet; but, I'm sure they will enjoy it.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin - Wickedly Sweet Treat

I took another break from my Stampin' Up Square Pillow Boxes to show you Stampin' Up's September Paper Pumpkin monthly kit called Wickedly Sweet Treat.  And, what a Wickedly Sweet Treat packaging idea it is!!!  Below is a picture of two of the Treat Bags that I made up over the weekend!

Aren't they just adorable!  You can leave the straw's out and you will get more of a hay stack look. The only item that did not come in the kit shown in the above picture is the little leaf on the pumpkin on the Treat Bag's tag on the right.

I put a Popcorn Ball in the treat bag on the left.  It was a little bit of a tight fit; but, it worked out perfectly.  The treat bag on the right has a little baggie full of miniature Tootsie Rolls. The treat bag on the left is bigger than the one on the right because of the Popcorn Ball.  I'm going to put Candy Corn and caramels in the other treat bags.

In the picture below, the first 8 tags on the piece of Soft Suede Card Stock are the tags I stamped from the kit as the picture shows on the front of the instructions.  The last tag and the tags on the Treat Bags are my own designs.

Here are some close up pictures:

I embellished the straws with some of my own stash using Stampin' Up's Sparkly Season Stamp set for the Pumpkins and Stems, Haunt Ya Later Stamp Set for the Sentiment and Among the Branches Stamp Set for the Little Crow.

Here's a close up of the embellishing at the top of the straw's.

Now, don't laugh too hard!!!  Below is one of the Treat Bags that I made especially for my Cousin, Will, who is my Father's Namesake!  I wonder if they are following my blog!  If so, it won't be much of a surprise.

I used the splotch stamp that's in Stampin' Up's Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and stamped splotches all over the fringe using Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Cajun Craze Ink's.  The top fringe made me think of a head of hair so I made some eye's, a nose and a mouth to make a face!

For the eye's, I punched a circle out of SU's Black Glimmer Paper.  Then I punched an Oval out of Whisper White Card Stock, stamped it with the Spider Web stamp from SU's Witches' Night Stamp Set and loaded it up with Crystal Effects for an awesome shine.  I punched a smaller circle from the Black Glimmer Paper and a tiny, tiny circle from SU's Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the smallest circle in the Owl Builder Punch for the rest of the eye's.

Below is a close up of the face:

Below is a close up picture of how I embellished the straw using items from my own stash.  The Bat is from Stampin' Up's Cheer All Year Stamp Set and the little Spider hanging from the Silver Cording is from SU's Howl-o-ween Stamp set.

Now, that was fun!  I really enjoy putting these monthly kits together.

Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box - Acorn Builder Punch Cont'd

O.K.  Back to the regularly scheduled program - Stampin' Up's Square Pillow Boxes and the Acorn Builder Punch.  Last Friday, I posted the half size Pillow Box shown in the picture  below:

Today, I wanted to show you the four 3"x3" cards and envelopes that are inside the half size Pillow Box.  Below is a picture of the whole ensemble that I designed:

I LOVE those acorns and they're so cute and so much fun to make with Stampin' Up's Acorn Builder Punch!!!  I popped the scalloped circles and top acorns up with Stampin' Dimensionals to give some height.  I even added little dots with a white Signo gel pen to each scallop on the scalloped circles.

This is a great way to show off Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper too.  I made two acorns on each card using each corresponding side of the double sided paper so you can see each design that comes in the package of the Into the Woods DSP from Stampin' Up.  I ended up using every design in the package on my cards.

Here are the four cards:

In the picture below, I tried to capture the dimension of the scalloped circles and the acorns on the front of the cards:

Below is a picture of the half size carrier.  Just Darling and so easy to make!!!  I showed how to make the half size pillow boxes on my Friday blog post here:  http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2015/09/stampin-up-square-pillow-box-acorn.html

And, the inside of the 3"x3" cards:

The stamp set is called Acorny Thank You by Stampin' Up.  I used every stamp in the set to make my ensemble.  Such a fun set and the name just cracks me up!!!

And, of course, I had to ink up the envelopes too!!!

I stamped the little leaves using Stampin' Up's A Little Something Stamp Set.

The little acorn is from Stampin' Up's September Paper Pumpkin Kit.  You have to be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber in order to get their monthly kits.  Please come back tomorrow and I will show you what I created using this months Paper Pumpkin Kit.

There you have it.  A simple and so much fun project!!!  These make such wonderful gifts especially for the upcoming holidays!

Pumpkin Witch Curvy Keepsake Box - Updated with Lights

Happy weekend all!

I decided to try to add battery lights to the Pumpkin Witch Curvy Boxes that I re-created in a previous blog post.  They are just too cute!  Let's take a look:

Aren't they just adorable!!!

Here's a close up picture!

So Stinkin' cute!  On the Pumpkin Witch Curvy Box above, I used my Stampin' Up Paper Piercer and Pierce Mat and pierced random holes in the middle of each stamped row, one hole in each eye and two in the center of the mouth.  All that's left to do is to insert your battery operated light, turn it on and reassemble the box.

On this little Cutie in the picture above, all I did was cut out the eye's and mouth on the face with an exacto knife.  I LOVE how the light shines through on this one too!

You can find all the details on how to make the Pumpkin Witch Curvy Box in my blog post here.  http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2015/09/pumpkin-witch-curvy-keepsake-box.html

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box - Acorn Builder Punch

Today, I continue on with Stampin' Up's Square Pillow Box.  For the pillow box in the picture below, I cut the box die in half and made a little carrier for my 3"x3" cards.

All you need to do is cut the SU Square Pillow Box die cuts right in half, crease your folds, put SU's Tear & Tape on each side flap and assemble as normal.

I used SU's Into the Wood Designer Series Paper for the Pillow Box.  SU's Acorn Builder Punch was used to punch the acorn from SU's Soft Suede and Early Espresso card stocks.

SU's Into the Woods 3/8" Cotton Ribbon in Rich Razzleberry (LOVE this color) was used to wrap around the box with a bow tied to one side.  I used SU's Linen Thread to make a bow on my acorn's.

And, I used SU's White Perfect Accents on each acorn for a little added Wow factor!

That's all I have for today.  Please come back on Monday and I'll show you all the 3"x3" cards that are inside of the pillow box where I used Stampin' Up's Acorny Thank You Stamp Set (Gotta' LOVE that name)!

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Pumpkin Witch Curvy Keepsake Box

I'm interrupting my normally scheduled blog post so I can show you the Pumpkin Witch Curvy Box that I've seen pictures of on the internet and had to recreate.  Take a peek:

Aren't they just Stinkin' cute!!!  I just LOVE them!  They make me happy and I've been smiling all day!

These are made with Stampin' Up's Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die.  Before you assemble the box, stamp them with the long line/arrow stamp in SU's Chalk Lines Stamp Set.

Stamp the Pumpkin smile face found in SU's Sparkly Season's Stamp Set on the face of one side of the box and assemble the box.

To make the hat:  Using SU's Circle Collections Framelits Die (6th framelit from center), cut a circle out of SU's Black Glimmer Paper.  Use the word window punch to cut a slit in the center of the circle. The slot will allow the hat to sit on top of the handle on the curvy box.  Punch two tree's from the SU's tree builder punch out of Black Glimmer Paper.  Fold the flaps on the tree's towards you and glue each flap under the circle piece in the slotted section.  Glue the tops of the tree's together to form top of hat.  Glue one of SU's Black Spider Web doilies to the bottom of the hat and set on top of you pumpkin curvy box.

Make a bow for the top of the Witches hat using SU's Bow Builder punch.

There you have it!  So simple; yet so Stinkin' cute!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and hope you can come back tomorrow!

Jolly Christmas Cuties - Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies

Below is a picture of the Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box that I posted yesterday.  And, as promised, I have a lot of pictures to show you of what is inside the Pillow Box.  Let's take a look:

I made little 3"x3" cards with 3 envelopes that fit perfectly inside the pillow box.  Here's some close up pictures:

Inside Sentiment is:  it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Inside Sentiment is:  Christmas Blessings

Inside Sentiment is:  it's the most wonderful time of the year!

Aren't they just the cutest little cuties!!!  I water colored the images from Stampin' Up's new stamp set called Christmas Cuties.  Just a fitting name for this set!

I cut my card 3"x 6" and scored at 3".  I used Stampin' Up's new Designer Series Paper Stacks that have all the coordinating colors in 4 designs; stripes, polka dots, words and flowers.  These I cut at 2 3/4"x2 3/4" and adhered them to my card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum with the Snowflakes for my top layer.  There's 3 designs; candy cane stripes, green trees and snowflakes.  I water colored my images and also popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I added 3 silver sequins from the Metallics Sequins Assortment to each card.

On the inside of my cards, I die cut 3 labels from Stampin' Up's Tags & Labels Framelits Dies and stamped the sentiments.

I even sponged some Marina Mist on the corner of the envelopes, stamped the snowflake stamp that comes in the Christmas Cuties Stamp Set and then stamped the sentiments again on the envelopes.  And, Stampin' Up sells the 3 1/8"x3 1/8" envelopes for 3"x3" cards.  You get 40 envelopes for $7.50.

This would make the perfect gift for anyone at Christmas time.

That's all I have for you today.  Hope you enjoyed my blog post and come back tomorrow!!!

Jolly - Stampin' Up Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies

Remember I said I was addicted to Stampin' Up's Square Pillow Boxes?  Well, guess what?  I have another one to show you today.  Let's take a look:

This time, I used the tree die that comes with SU's Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies.  I die cut the tree's 3 times into the front of the pillow box and adhered some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper behind the little tree's.  The Glimmer Paper really sparkles.  I wish you could see it in real life.

The Jolly die can be found in SU's Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies along with the words Peace and Merry.  I die cut the word Jolly from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and adhered it with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

What an awesome stack of snowflakes!  I took two of SU's wooden Snowflake Elements and stuck them in my Marina Mist ink pad.  I was quite surprised at how dark they turned out as the color looks more like Night of Navy.  In between the two wooden elements is a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper snowflake that I punched with SU's new Snow Flurry Punch.  You can get Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set and the Snow Flurry punch at a bundle price.  What a deal!!!  On the very top of my stacked snowflakes is a Winter Wonderland Embellishment.  I colored the center with a Stampin' Write Real Red marker.

The 3 single snowflakes were die cut with the snowflake die that comes in the Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies.  I colored 3 Jewel Rhinestones also and adhered them to the center of the snowflakes with Mono Multi Purpose glue.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up Products that I used:

Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies - Pillow Box, Tree Windows and 3 Snowflakes
Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies - Jolly
Real Red Card Stock - Pillow Box
Real Red Stampin' Write Marker - Jewel Rhinestones and Winter Wonderland Embellishment
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - Snowflakes and Behind Windows
Home for Christmas Wooden Snowflake Elements

You just have to come back tomorrow to see what is inside my Jolly Pillow Box!!

Snow Place Snow Friends Pillow Box - Penguin Skiing Accident

Mr. Penguin, from a previous blog post - http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2015/09/skiing-at-dusk.html, had an accident while skiing so, of course, I had to make him a get well gift telling him to get better quick.  Take a peek!!!

One of Mr. Penguin's ski's fell right off and into the cup of hot chocolate when he took his tumble skiing.  Too funny!  The cup is from Stampin' Up's new stamp set called Cup of Cheer.

The penguin, attire and candy canes were stamped and die cut using SU's Snow Place stamp set and die cut with Snow Friends Framelits Dies.

I used SU's Square Pillow Box die to make the pillow box and die cut a window in the middle.  I put a hot chocolate packet and a mini candy cane inside the pillow box so the recipient of this gift can indulge in a Cup of Cheer!

Let's all hope that Mr. Penguin Get's Better Quick.  This sentiment was stamped using SU's Fabulous Four stamp set.  I masked off the Sorry You're Sick and only stamped the Get Better Quick portion of the stamp.

This was definitely a fun, fun project to make!

Below is a list of Stampin' Up products that I used:

Square Pillow Box Thinlits Dies - Pillow Box and window
Snow Place Stamp Set - Penguin, Attire and Candy Canes
Snow Friends Framelits Dies - Penguin, Attire and Candy Canes
Cup of Cheer Stamp Set - Cup
Fabulous Four Stamp Set - Sentiment
Always Artichoke Card Stock - Pillow Box

Basic Black Ink - Penguin
Real Red Ink - Penguin's Attire, Candy Canes, Cup and Sentiment
Tea Lace Paper Doily
Silver Cording - Bow

Washi Label Punch - Sentiment

That's all I have for today!  Hope you can come back tomorrow!
